Contact Apple Support:
Having two Apple IDs on one device is unheard of. It seems you need to contact Apple Support to get this straitened out. If you cannot use these items, it is likely due to the accounts contradicting one another. Note that Apple IDs cannot be merged, as of this reply.
Apple Contact Us Information:
- Contact Us — Choose Locations
- U.S.A.: (800)MY-APPLE
- Proceed from there as Necessary
Why the Wait:
Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through 🙂
On a Side Note:
Virtual Machines: The only way to have two Apple ID accessible at once on one device, is to have one Apple ID associated to a Virtual Machine, while your Mac itself is associated to its own Apple ID. All would be accessed and would operate as desired on the VM. Virtual Machine applications include VMWare Fusion and Parallels. Learn more here: What Is a Virtual Machine? — VMWare Support.

Two users with two Apple IDs on one Mac
I am setting up my elderly parents with 1Password. They have one Mac with two login accounts and two individual Apple IDs. Do I need to purchase two separate licenses for 1Password. Brand new iMac running Yosemite. My preference is keep it as easy as possible instead of cheap but only want to purchase two licenses if necessary. Thank you.
Comments
You have the choice of buying from AgileBits web store or from Apple’s App Store. If buying from Agile, one license will be enough in that situation. If buying from Apple, I am not sure; I think that once 1PW is installed on the machine, any user can use it.
The only advantage of buying from Apple is that iCloud sync is available, which they may not need. If sync is wanted, both versions allow Dropbox sync, which is better in some respects.
Either way, buy soon as there is a sale on now.
I’m particularly interested in this thread. I have the identical question except that, in my case, I already have 1P (MAS version) installed on my iMac and MBP. Both machines have two logins, mine and my wife’s. At this point, she is not using 1P at all although I use it for every web login that I have.
As danco mentioned, as long as you install 1Password from the Mac App Store on one of the Mac user accounts, the other user accounts on the same Mac will be able to use it. The only problem I can think of is that updates would need to be installed from your own Mac user account on each Mac, assuming the other user account(s) are signed into the Mac App Store with different Apple IDs.
If you have more questions about that, just let us know!
The updates don’t concern me. I do all updates anyway. I have one question and I hope that I can word it properly.
If I go into my wife’s Mac login account, can I set her up AS IF THE SETUP ON MY ACCOUNT DOES NOT EVEN EXIST? I’m thinking kinda like using Word. I loaded it and I obtained all updates. However, when my wife uses it, the fact that I can also use it does not impact her usage in the slightest. Am I making sense?
@Plato — If you used your AppleId on the MAS to install 1P on the Mac, then you and ANY other user on that Mac can use 1P. That means that they can setup their own vault and have their own Master Password, etc. The only thing they can’t do is update 1P without your AppleID. For example, I have five different Macs in my house. I’m the Admin acct on each one, I install 1P (or any other software) on all of them, and any additional login accounts can use 1P as if they were the the owner of 1P. I can even be using 1p in my login acct on the MBA remotely while my wife is using hers locally. HTH

Just create 2 user accounts on your mac so that everyone of you has its own library and can use its own Apple ID.

Thanks David. Would that then allow us to share the same iTunes files, photos, documents, etc on each of the two phones?

No, in this case the 2 user accounts with its own Apple IDs would be completely seperated.
If you want to share this things like music and app purchases you will have to to something else.
1. Create two user accounts on your Mac (user A and user B).
2. Create two iCloud accounts just for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Photos, etc. (one for user A and one for user B):
On your Mac (with Mac OS X Lion or Mountan Lion):
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > iCloud > Create an Apple ID (button in left corner)
On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (iOS 5 or later):
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > iCloud > Get a free @me.com address and create a new Apple ID
3. It is not recommended because you shouldn’t share your Apple ID account information with other people but you could set up your old Apple ID as an account just for store purchases (Apps, Music, . ) so that everyone of you can manage the purchases in their own library (Access is limited to 10 devices). Therefore you have to setup this «old» ID in Settings of your iOS devices (Settings > iTunes & App Store) and in iTunes on your Mac.

Question: Q: Using multiple Apple IDs on Mac and iOS devices
On my iOS devices I use multiple IDs
1 I use the ***@aol.com (original) for my Media & App purchase & Family sharing
2.Years after the first id was used, I bought my first iPad and was given the 2nd ID ***@mac.com.
It is used for iCloud, email, & associated with my Apple Card
As you see iOS devices let me do this
Up until last week I did similar thing on my Mac
I don’t know what I did wrong, but shortly after the last update, «things went south»
I noticed my ***@aol.com was no longer associated with my iMac and I no longer could access Apple Music. etc
I gave up and signed my iMac into my sisitka ID to get back my Apple Music .
Now my iMac syncs with sisitka iCloud and all the rest of my iOS devices sync with kensisitka iCloud
NOT good for me!
Any Suggestions? I was thinking of using my time machine backup to reinstall files, but I don’t exactly know what folders or files control the AppleID stuff

If you want to use multiple Apple IDs on a Mac you probably need to set up separate user accounts. See: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac — https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/set-up-other-users-mtusr001/mac
You can only use one Apple ID at a time on a mobile device such as an iPhone, etc.

I don’t think you understood the question. Sorry, let me try to be clearer
I am logged in my Mac and All my other devices as USER-2
That account takes care of iCloud and email and enables syncing of Notes, Photos, etc.
For my iTunes and Media Purchases and Apps I use USER-1 which is my original AppleID — got this long before I started using iOS devices. I also use this for subscriptions and Family sharing
I have done this for well over 10 years on the Mac and my iOS devices
My problem arose after the last Mac OS update ( which may or may not be the problem). My media and purchases were also assigned to USER-2 as well as the device. So. I lost access to appleTV+, iTunes. ETC.
SO. I restored my MAC via Carbon Copy Cloner to my last backup 10 or so days. It was painfully slow, but I am back to my 2 ID System. I have made another CCC Bootable backup. Now I have to do a system update. Wish me luck
Don’t ask me how I got it to work this way originally — I have no idea. I am planning to buy an M1 iMac soon but worried I cannot recreate my setup. Can Apple merge my 2 accounts?

Using two Apple IDs on one Mac
I have a personal Apple ID which I use for iTunes and iCloud on my MacBook Air and iPhone. Now I have a MacBook Pro which uses different iCloud account.
I want to know if I can use my earlier Apple ID on this new Mac just for Apple music?
Apple Support document, Sign in with your Apple ID appears to advice against it.
1 Answer 1
It is quite possible to use different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes. Even the Apple Support document, Sign in with your Apple ID — Use different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes mentions it.
Use different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes
We recommend that you use the same Apple ID for all Apple services on your device—including the iTunes & App Stores and iCloud. Using multiple Apple IDs might be confusing and cause issues with accessing purchased content or using some services.
But if you already have different Apple IDs that you want to use with iCloud and the iTunes & App Stores, follow these steps.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
If you’re using iOS 10.3 or later, go to Settings and tap Sign in to your [device]. Enter the Apple ID that you want to use with iCloud. Go back to Settings, scroll down, and tap iTunes & App Stores. Tap Apple ID: [your name] > Sign Out. Then sign in with the Apple ID that you want to use with iTunes.
If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings > iCloud and sign in with the Apple ID that you want to use with iCloud. Go back to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and sign in with the Apple ID that you want to use with iTunes.
On your Mac, go to System Preferences > iCloud and sign in with the Apple ID that you want to use with iCloud. Go to iTunes > Account > Sign In. Enter the Apple ID that you want to use with iTunes.
If you use multiple Apple IDs and want to restore your device from a backup, you can learn more about iCloud or iTunes backups.
If you have multiple Apple IDs, you can’t merge them.
So, it is feasible to use separate to use separate Apple IDs for iTunes and iCloud. To use the desired Apple ID for Apple Music, simply launch iTunes, and in the Menu bar go to Account → Sign Out. Now sign in with the desired Apple ID.
