How your data is used
To confirm compatibility and recommend products, the app will access both the services and the name, model, and part number of devices linked to your Apple ID. To turn off this feature, go to Account > Settings > My Devices and Services.

Obviously Perfect

A critical part of the Apple experience beyond elegance in design, beyond product reliability, and beyond integrity in handling those rare occasions when support is needed, is simple thoughtfulness. The facility of use, the intuitive UI, and the ease and simplicity of discovering more and more commands effortlessly is what makes the Apple experience what it is. This is at the root of the deeply held loyalty of Apple customers.

This app is an extension of the Apple experience for purposes of buying from Apple. Nothing bad, nothing surprising, it just works as you would expect it to. Perfectly.

Disappointed

I tried to order some apple products this past Black Friday weekend with no resolve. I tried to pay for the items in my cart using Apple Pay which has my debit card, two different credit cards, and my one-week-old Apple Card. All cards have a close to zero or zero balance and work for reoccurring monthly payments as well as recent purchases at my regular grocery shopping. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with over four different phone calls with three additional apple employees. I figured there were issues with Apple being overloaded with Black Friday/Cyber Monday orders on Saturday, so I tried Sunday and again on Monday. I tried all my Apple Pay payment options and always got “Payment Not Processed.” I made sure my iOS and Apple store app were up to date. I deleted and reinstalled the Apple Store app. I restarted my phone—all of which the Apple employees had me do again over my phone calls with them. So Thursday and Friday, the apple store didn’t work. I invested in the Apple ecosystem to not deal with tech issues. I invested three extra hours in helping Apple become aware of its problems and get more orders. I missed out on the $25 Black Friday gift card, and this issue still isn’t resolved within this version of the Apple Store app and my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I wish someone would help me as much as I have helped apple become of this issue.

Don’t recommend

So on October 12 I ordered AirPods through the apple online store expecting really good service well NO I ordered them on October 12 and it said they would arrive around oct 20-22 well It took longer than that and I was like ahh it’s probably just late days pass and pass so it’s nov first and I had to do some so I contacted customer service through service wanted to save time and was attended really well but I told him my order was taking longer than what it was originally supposed to be I wasn’t trying to make a big deal he said yea my package got lost and he would REPLACE it for a new pair. I check my order status and it says I have to return air pods in order to get a replacement but wait I never even got my AirPods so I was tired of it and callled customer service and this guy was very RUDE about and said he couldn’t find my billing order so I was really frustrated about that. Later that day I called again because this wasn’t okay anymore so I called and this really nice lady helped me out and omg my billing number was there so she helped me out and today I received my stuff but don’t recommend it’s too much of a problem for a simple object not worth it don’t purchase from here just go to the store. Some guy from customer service was sooo rude l

Decent app so far

I remember when Twitter first started as well as many others, it starts rough, same as this one. It’s getting faster and easier to use, I was dismayed about not being able to say some words (being free speech and all) but never censoring my ideas or condemning my beliefs. I’ve seen a few kicked for posting porn and whatnot, but we all know you can’t have that on a platform like this. I’m looking forward to notifications, the process is kind of a pain as it stands and would like the app to open up to my profile and responses instead of just a feed, to which I never see anyone but whom I’ve followed, suggestions might be a good idea for connecting like minded people or however that crap works. Overall I think it’s in the right direction and am hoping to see a more diverse conversation in the future.

Great Launch (REMEMBER: THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.)

GETTR truly is a pretty clean and aesthetically pleasing social media app. Your feed is pleasant looking, your posts use the same format we are all accustomed to, but it has been bombarded by political opponents and straight up trolls who seek to destroy the very reputation of the app. Flashback to when Donald Trump made his own organizing app during his campaign years, the ratings were bombarded by straight up liars and people who put one stars along with simply an insult towards the President. The app has had huge success in its beginning days, with technical difficulties always a problem for any technology company. Remember Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat all were completely different when they first started up, with constant updates designed to make the apps more efficient and more aesthetically pleasing. GETTR is in the beginning phases, where social media monopolies once were. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, GET IN ON THE GROUND FLOOR. Absolute great app and really excited for what’s to come!

Smooth Launch, but I’m just a little confused

It’s nicely designed and easy to use. The UI/UX is navigated effortlessly. And I’m not going to knock any small things like verification emails being delayed. I expect that, it’s brand new. As far as launch goes, they easily get an A-

What I will knock it for is that it’s basically a twitter clone. And that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with that. But I’m a little confused as to why this standalone app needed to be made at all. Hear me out, between Pleroma or Mastodon a feature rich environment awaits. It performs/behaves just like twitter. You’re instantly linked to the rest of the Fediverse.

The core audience already exists online in segregated pockets. And this app doesn’t solve this problem. It just becomes another pocket. Whereas the Fediverse connects you to everyone and it all goes into a public feed across many instances.

I’m also starting to see profiles be suspended. Now, I understand 99% of the ones I’ve seen banned. But there are very tame people that have been suspended as well. And it’s brand new.

Lastly, these environments draw unsavory characters. A good chunk of accounts on platforms like this wind up being users claiming to be someone they aren’t. So they should’ve been ready to verify users immediately.

I’ve made an account but I’m not sure I’ll use it. I find the Fediverse and Telegram much better, solely based on exposure and exchange of information.
