Badges

It’s a nice design and seems to work well. New messages don’t show as a badge inside the app for me though and that pretty much breaks everything as if you don’t see the notification banner you won’t see the message as there’s no badge to alert you. Weird.

Good but needs work

I’ve only just found this app and I like the way it works, the only thing that needs improvement is the way the actual apps interact with the shell. Facebook messenger doesn’t work like the messenger app, it actually starts a mini browser window that you then have to navigate to the messenger section of facebook in order to use it as a chat app. It would be better if it went straight to the messenger section, or utilised the messenger app instead of the website. There is also no way to actually contact the people who make this software to alert them to bugs or suggest improvements. Could you put links to contact forms or social media channels on your website at the very least, please?

Apart from that I think it’s an amazing all in one interface, really intuitive, doesn’t take a long time to figure out how it works and with a few improvements it will be a really useful piece of software.

Google Apps Don’t Work Anymore

I have been using All in one messenger for a long time now & found it great for hosting Google Chat (much better than the Google Web UI). Unfortunately, this week, it has stopped working (looks like Google’s fault: Couldn’t sign you in

I have tried to find a support page for the app, but there’s no way to get hold of the developer!
I guess I’ll have to find another app then — shame!

Okay but need to keep up with Vendors.

Google Hangouts is a deadman walking. My company uses Google Chat. There is no reason we should still be using google hangouts. I do apprecatite slack now working though. If we could just fix google chat so that I can talk with my coworkers who don’t use slack this will be good. Also it would be nice to adjust the theme as some of the other apps do.

Good tool with minor minor caveats

I had previously reported that the tool stopped working with google hangouts. It took 5 or more months to get resovled but finally did. It must be challenging to keep up with all the different chat protocols.

This is the tradeoff. You will get 97% of the features and not all clients can possibly stay working at all times due to changes out of control of the IM+ team. But overall, reducing the chatter and running applications (all with their own windows) is a benefit of running them all separately. If something stops working, go ahead and run it on the web or in the dedicated client. You’ll still have a much better experience overall.

Some other minor things:
-LinkedIn doesn’t show you notifications (there are likely others) but you can easily use and test. Twitter always shows exactly 2 notifcations lol but these don’t matter
-“Services” menu does not work. For me this is how I access google translate with selected text; however all mac applications should make the clipboard available to this function

Good:
Interface. Clean and simple
Adding new chat accounts: Easy.

Great: Concept solid- saves lots of screen real estate, audible notifications seem to work well.

been waiting YEARS for something like this. FINALLY! so far works ok but has some limitations.

The window is ‘non-standard’ and does not remember size or position or last service used between launches.

Each ‘service’ has its own separate process and so the app as a whole can use many GB of memory if you have more than 2-3 services.

the ‘web app’ versions of each service are limited in functionality (no font control, no back/forward buttons, etc)

Nevertheless is better having all the services under ‘one roof’ and better to use when sitting behind a computer than always reaching for phone.

Good idea. but really overpriced. as is worth $4 max. I would pay up to $10 if everything worked well with more control and better standards (NO RIGHT CLICK OR SPELL CHECK. ).

Nice but has issues

The idea is great but it doesn’t always work.

Great app

Fastastic app. Thanks for developing this. Nice to have this kind of app. I think I can uninstall the individual app for each messenger that I included here. It is easy to use. So far so good. I did not experience though those mentioned in some reviews here. Issues like — logging out and logging in for the app to refresh and find out that they have new messages. This app is awesome.

May I request that you include a lock (PIN or password) for this app? Altough I dont use a shared equipment but whenever I step out of my station and accidentally leave my screen unlock, there is no chance that anyone who might be trying to peek to my screen will be able to see any incoming messages. Hope you work on this on your next version/update. Thanks much.

Super Useful! Saves so much space!

I love this app! It saves me a lot of space because I can just download this app and have all m messaging apps in one place, I don’t need to download separate chat apps, which is super aweseome. I use Slack, Skype, What’s App, Facebook Messenger and this app has it all, best of all, this app is FREE. Super awesome!

Suficient but Not Great

It does what it is supposed to without all the glamor and aesthetics. What it is missing is any sort of spell checker support. The native apps all provide spell checker support.

“Dark Mode” isn’t really dark. Only the menu bar appears dark, the typing area and screens are white.

I could not get LinkedIn to load, All-in-one wanted to create a new account, which failed due to “this account already exists” rather than allowing me to log in to my current account.

All in all a good idea, but I am going back to the native apps. None of these messenger combiner apps are as good as any of the native apps. Unless you run more than two or three apps (at which point I recommend you grin and bear it with one of these apps) don’t think what you give up is worth what you gain here.

Poses Secutity and Privacy Risk ATM

This app is currently and mysteriously accessing my icloud photos library and adding photos that are coming in via the whatsapp stream. It’s automatically adding them to my icloud photos. It’s not listed in the photos seciont of privacy and security in macos yet still has access to icloud somehow. and all of this just before Apple is going to implament a «service» where they scan all of your photos in icloud to look for child pornography (this starts with IOS15s release) The app was meh-ok for what it was supposed to do to begin with but now it creates a huge privacy and security risk whch could potentially land you in prison if someone in a subscribed stream posts something they should’t Good Luck Everybody

Great App But needs a bit more customization

The app is great for doing what it does, really smooth and consistent but it lacks customization like darkmode for the individual messaging apps like facebook messenger, twitter, mail etc rather than just the homepage of the app.

Also they really should bring back Instagram cuz now i have to use instagram from the website which is not very convinient for me and a lot of othe users as well. so i hope they could make these change and optimise the app a bit
