Android firefox bookmarks export
I need to backup my bookmark from Firefox for Android. To this end I am syncing them with my desktop Firefox on Ubuntu. The bookmarks appear as Mobile Bookmarks. Now, when I export the bookmarks with the bookmarks manager, the Mobile Bookmarks are surprisingly NOT included.
Is there a way to export the Mobile Bookmarks, either on Android or Desktop?
(I am about to prepare a number of tablets for education puposes.)
Chosen solution
Hi Algenib, yes, for some reason, Mobile Bookmarks are not included in the HTML export. Here are two workarounds:
(A) Copy the bookmarks to Bookmarks Menu, Bookmarks Toolbar, or Other Bookmarks
In the Library window, with Mobile Bookmarks selected in the left column, select everything on the right side and copy (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C or on Mac, Command+A, Command+C).
Change categories on the left, right-click a blank area on the right side, and Paste.
Then the pasted bookmarks should be exportable.
As a bonus, you will have access to these bookmarks even when not connected to your Firefox Account.
(B) Convert a backup
(1) Create a JSON-format backup
(2) Use my conversion tool to create your HTML file
Please let me know if you run into any problems with either approach.

Firefiox Sync messed up my desktop bookmarks, so a part of it lost completely now. But as my Nexus not always online it still contain almost latest snapshot of desktop bookmarks. I already disconnect it from Sync, so it’s bookmarks won’t be damaged.
Is there any way to export DESKTOP bookmarks from my android device? Does Sync PUSH desktop bookmarks FROM android to sync-server or it just PULL them from it?
Chosen solution
Oh, almost forgot about posting this. Well, I personally solved it with ADB (to get browser.db), SQLite and a Python script. :3

Exporting bookmarks from Android (importing on Desktop is already in place) is a long-standing need that has not yet been filled, and I’m sorry for that. To answer your final question, each Synced device works by first pulling bookmarks from the server, merging those into its own bookmarks, and then pushing back any changes to the server. So it’s pull then push.
The simplest thing is to create a new Firefox Profile (see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles) and connect that new profile to your Firefox Account. That’ll download all the bookmarks on the server. You might find that these bookmarks are correct. If that’s the case, you could abandon your old profile and continue using this new one.
If the bookmarks are *not* correct, I suggest you delete your account at https://accounts.firefox.com/settings and re-create it. (You can use the same email address since you delete the old one.) Then you can re-connect your Android device, which should upload all the bookmarks it has. Then attach your Desktop (with a new, clean profile), which should download the new bookmarks.
Hope that helps, and sorry for the difficult process 🙁

Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
This article explains how to export your bookmarks to an HTML file, which can be used as a backup or for importing into another web browser.
Click on the menu button
to open the menu panel. Click the Library
button on your toolbar. (If you don’t see it, click the menu
button, then click Library click the menu
button .) Click Bookmarks and then click the Show All Bookmarks Manage Bookmarks bar at the bottom.
Import and Backup and choose Export Bookmarks to HTML… from the drop-down menu.
Your bookmarks are now successfully exported from Firefox. The bookmarks HTML file you saved is now ready to be imported into another web browser.

I would like to export the bookmarks of my Tablet to my PC, for FireFox.
@pablorosa . what are you saying please explore your issue ? we are not getting your point . thank you
Well, I would like to do it «BackWards». Let´s say your DeskTop PC crashes, and You have a portable device with FireFox and your bookmarks are properly saved. Then You should be able to restore them to your PC when You have it fixed.
Is it clear now? Please let me know.
You could sync the two devices.
Android OS > Settings > Accounts > Firefox Sync > Pair a new Device

Okay, can I import my Chrome bookmarks to my Firefox browser.
Выбранное решение
On your Firefox for Android, 1. Tap the menu button (either below the screen on some devices or at the top right corner of the browser) 2. Select Settings => Customize => Import from Android. 3. Unmark history if you don’t want to import history. 4. Finally, tap Import.
Hope this will help.

I just need to move them over to Firefox on Android, then sync it up to my PC. How?
