Do you mean the Boot animation?
If so have a go at making it yourself, Bootanimation Factory is what you want.
Grab a video to jpg converter to grab the images needed from the Android peeing on Apple video.
Use a photo resizer to get the images the right size.

At the moment I am pretty sure there is no way to install boot splashes, even with s-off. The stock hboot doesn’t allow flashing of splash1.

is it a matter of modifying the Hboot? Thats disappointing. All I want to do with s-off is super cid which I’ve done and get rid of that stupid «for developmental purposes» BS off the splash screen.

Here is a resized version of the android pee on Apple bootanimation that I found on the Rom toolbox but for some reason wouldn’t display on my note 2 even if I resized within the application. To me it’s much better lookin than the fat tinkle peeling droid that I found here and its resized correctly. Credit goes to the original animation author which I have no clue whom that may be.
are u rooted? if yes. then do these steps verbatim to change your boot animation on your note 2.
STEP 1: download THIS file and do NOT extract it or anything (use your computer or phone. its like 100mb so i reckon you best be on WiFey to be safer from a broken dload)
STEP 2:
if using your computer to download , plug ur phone in to mount usb and moved the file to your sd card or your internal memory [ EX:Computer\SPH-L900\Phone or Computer\SPH-L900\Card ] (OR use a program like Android Commander to make things a little easier and put the file directly into the /system/media directory of your phone. hint:the ‘system’ folder is located in the PARENT FOLDER of your SDCARD directory . aka your ROOT directory)
if downloaded using your phone browser. just use any root file manager (eg:I use ROM Toolbox Pro’s Root file Browser, but there are dozens of other app like root explorer, ES File Explorer File Manager, ASTRO file Manager i think works too if u have the pro version but dont hold me to it) and use the Move to or the Copy To feature within any of those apps to move the file manually to your /system/media/ directory. You can just overwrite the one that is already there or just add a .bak or .EAD or .GTH to the end of the file name of the file you wanna backup thats already there BEFORE moving the new Android Peeing animation you downloaded in the first step.
IMPORTANT- DO NOT RENAME OR EXTRACT THE ZIP FILE YOU DOWNLOADED IN STEP 1. the file MUST BE NAMED bootanimation.zip
STEP 3- Using your root file managing joint appy proggy thingys Permissions editor (normally u just long click the file you wanna set permissions for and the edit permissions option will pop up somewhere) set the pemissions (or verify them) to this.
OWNER- READ WRITE
GROUP- READ
OTHERS- READ
or another way of saying this is RW-R—R—
Step 4 — SAVE or ACCEPT changes.
Step 5 — Reboot to make sure bootanimation is changed
Step 6 — Reboot again in a busy elevator or place where some iPhags can see over your shoulder. and grin maliciously.
Step 7- :highfive: click the thanks button if u want or pm me if u have some bitcoins u managed to accumulate somehow and wanna donate em to me

An Android robot is peeing on an Apple logo in Google Maps
In the outskirts of Rawalpindi, a Pakistani city less than 10 miles southwest of Islamabad, is what appears to be a park in the shape of an Android robot peeing on an Apple logo.
At least, that’s what shows up if you look up Rawalpindi in Google Maps.
The park is not actually there — it’s an illustration.
It’s not clear how long the image has been there. When you look at «satellite view,» you’ll see a few residential roads, a bit of green space and some hills — nothing that looks remotely like an Android peeing on an apple.
It was discovered Friday by Ahmad Babar, a former Samsung employee living in Lahore, Pakistan.
On Facebook ( FB ) , Babar posted that he came across the Android image while looking for a place in Rawalpindi.
Google said the image was not created by an employee. The company has a group of vetted contributors who add to the Maps tool in order to keep Google Maps up to date, and one of those contributors drew the image.
«The vast majority of users who edit our maps provide great contributions, such as mapping places that have never been mapped before,» said Caroline Matthews, a spokeswoman for Google. «We’re sorry for this inappropriate user-created content; we’re working to remove it quickly.»
Google ( GOOGL ) is no stranger to so-called Easter eggs — hidden treasures in its products. Just try typing «tilt,» «do a barrel roll,» «recursion,» «anagram,» «once in a blue moon,» or «answer to life the universe and everything» into Google’s search engine.
In Google Images, type «Atari breakout.» Google Translate has Pirate, Elmer Fudd, Klingon and Pig Latin options.
There are literally dozens of Google Maps Easter eggs in addition to the Android peeing on an Apple ( AAPL ) logo, including a tie-dyed Street View character in Berkeley, California and a «royal carriage» transportation option when asking for directions to Windsor Castle.
A spokeswoman for Apple did not respond to requests for comment.

No one’s going to help me, because I didn’t bow when attacked?
The truth is, you have your order wrong. I asked nicely and was attacked. Then I objected to that and you attacked.
Now you act like a child who picks up his toys and stomps off home.
And all of this, because I stated that the instructions were incomplete.
If help was whst anybody wanted to supply here, then as soon as I mentioned it, someone would have said;
«Oh yea, you’re right. Let me tell you what’s missing and hopefully that will do the trick for you.»
That’s how adults respond. Given your language, you’re not there yet.
I told you what was missing. I laid it out for you in 3 simple steps. What is left out intentionally or not is that it’s assumed you know and think about certain things.
you then like a fool try to tell me I’m wrong. If I’m wrong why are you having trouble getting the same results so many have been able to achieve with the SAME instructions.
If you choose not to listen you can not be helped.

Not trying to add fuel to any fuel, so I hopefully I don’t end up stepping into it. Anyway, I’m see to be have some issue with this.
I used the zip that is referenced and link to a couple times in thread. I used the instructions that someone linked to, [MOD] boot animations for note ii — UPDATED
thread in TMobile GN2. The phone boots fine and I get Samsung boot loader screen, than a blank screen with the Sprint sounds.
My guess, I think the PNG images’ resolution is off just enough that the GN2 won’t play them. The images in the zip file are 720×1200 instead of 720×1280. I don’t know if there’s the issue or not. I know when I go back to the original samgsungani file while leaving the other files, the original boot animation plays. In the same thread, post 71 seems indicate that even with PNG, the images still need to be resized to 720×1280.
I tried some other bootaminations and renaming all the zips to samsungani, but still the still same black screen with animation sound. Some, the desx.txt file had 720×1280 and whatever frame rate. None of them had images there were 720×1280 to confirm my guess.
Any other thoughts or where there is a bootanimation with 720×1280 images to test with? If true, anyone know of a program that can batch resize images? I don’t want to resize over a hundred images.

in system/media you should find a file called bootanimation.zip you will need to replace it with the boot animation you want with the same exact name.. you should NOT rename them to samsungani
however. there is a key step that you may be missing. I don’t think it’s a resolution issue unless the boot animation is coming out on your screen too small, too big, or offset. but you’re saying it’s blank, which sounds to me you have a permissions issue.
you’ll need to change the permissions on the new file you just placed(which should be called bootanimation.zip)
owner gets read and write
group gets read
others get read
access. if you make the permissions changes you should be good to go. Let me know if this helps.
and Zeuszoos if you’re reading, I didn’t post this for you, but I hope you’ll be able to get what you wanted despite you being such an unpleasant person to help.
I’m basically paraphrasing the instructions from this same thread the link is below. If you searched for it would see, so more details are there.

Thanks for the reply Wiz, but not working. I had checked my persmissions already. In fact, they were originally for everything. I changed them to what the original files were (I just changed the names to [filename]1. I did this with the Light Saber Pen notification sound mod.
I basically stumped. I’ve basically change the files—samsungani bootanimation in the bin directory, and bootsamsungloop in media—and still end up with just a black screen with sounds. Either ES File Explorer is lying to me when I change the file permssions it’s something else. I’m still learning to PNG files resolution.

there is a file called bootanimation.zip under system/media. you simply replace that file..

I’ve change the first ten PNG files to the 720*1280 resolution. I’m about a test. My thinking it is a resolution issue, i’m assuming the those ten PNG will show, and it was go black after that. I’m almost ready to test.

I’ve been using ES File Explorer for around two years—Evo4G and GN2—and I haven’t had issues with it. It’s what I used with the Light Saber mod, and I did need to change permissions with it. I don’t think it’s the issue. There’s just something else going on.

I forgot to mention, a post, or maybe a YouTube for using ToolBox, is said the change in the system\bin, the bootamination file to samsungani and the new animation to bootanimation. When I tried that, I got a generic, brown or grey screen that had the work android on it and had rotating shiningness to the android letters. Not this animation. For whatever reason, I’m thinking the samsungani file is most likely where the boot images is taken from.

Your problem is one of ego. You just can’t admit that what you daid was incorrect and that you reacted, to put it kindly, rudely.
Not one word of what you said is true. You just attacked me, period. Had you gone over the missing steps and corrected the incorrect steps, then I would have performed the appropriate steps and then I would have written up complete and correct step by step instructions and posted them here for everyone’s benefit, which is what I always do when people help, instead of trying to fault the person who noticed the problem, claiming that instructions that say they tell you the steps to install, aren’t meant to actually instruct someone and they’re instead designed to make people try to figure out the right steps themselves, which is a ridiculous claim and the dictionary backs me up on that.
You remind me of 99% of usenet posters. They think that if they deny it and rewrite history, everyone will believe them and it makes all of the previous posts disappear. And even if it’s quoted back to them, they think that if they don’t quote it, that means that no one saw it. And no matter how many times you show it to them, they just keep repeating the same behavior while acting juvenile and using childish and foul language.
I have learned not to waste time with people like you.
I am not going to keep arguing with you. Enjoy your hatred. Why not? You certainly have plenty of it!
I do hope that one day you get help though. Your attitude is hateful and juvenile at best.

if theres no bootanimation.zip file in your system/media folder. then you arent using a Sprint SGN2. OR are using an AOSP rom which i dont know whether the bootanimation is pulled from media or bin on those roms as im using Macks all star rom. im assuming that would be why theres a difference here. there would be really no other reason to change the location of where the rom pulls its animation. if this is your case. i apologize for not encompassing which roms would work and which wont. if you feel i purposely left out certain things to try and stump you or leave you wondering. then you are a colossal idiot and probably shouldnt be messing with your phone anyway.

You started off so nice! But then just couldn’t resist that insult at the end, huh?
I never said that you did anything intentionally. Please read what I wrote very carefully and not in «defensive mode».
Yes, I agree with you that stating that you were using a diff ROM would have been a plus and would have saved a few people time. But on the other side, what would cause you to think that this sort of thing wouldn’t be uniform? I would have assumed the same thing.
But now we have all had the benefit of learning something new.
Maybe you could just edit your first post to add which ROM you’re using and that it may be different on other ROMs? Just a suggestion.
Either way, thanks for letting me know this and yes, I do know which phone I’m using.
Do you really think that I don’t know who’s billing me every month for my cell service, nor where I got my phone? Really? That was your «go to» thought?
Samsung Galaxy (SPH-L900) Note 2
Factory ROM, Rooted, w/Perseus Kernel
So apparently you are right. It is the ROM that makes it different.
I stuck to factory (and used Triangle), so that when a new JB ver comes out, I will get it, because I prefer the Samsung twist on the OS. I will upgrade my ROM next week, but will use on based on the Factory OS for that reason.

Thanks. I actually had already looked at thread. That’s why I was changing the samsungani file. I agree with you, looks like it may be just the rom. Others have been able to change the animation while using Perseus.
Maybe I shuld trying changing original file to zip extension and see what it shows. Maybe I might get lucky and see what the difference is and be able to change new animation accordingly. I give myself about 10% odds of being that lucky.
Like someone, I like the stock rom. Not so much for it’s «twist» on the OS, but more the AOSP don’t. Plus, the apps work as expected. TB is able to remove all the bloat.

I highly recommend whompasaurus rom. it’s got stock look and feel with all the benefits of a modded rom under the hood, super fast, stable and clean, it also has aroma installer which allows for a custom installation.

I may check it out. A lot of ROMs just don’t appeal to me for either because it’s themed so much to something I don’t like, or it’s just got a bunch of crap I don’t want or need. As much as I liked Cyogenmod on the Evo4G, I still removed a bunch of stuff. My ideal rom would have nothing but a launcher, SuperUser/SUSuperUser, BusyBox, and Google Play, and something like STweaks. Plus, whatever essential behind the scenes stuff need to run. Everything I can either download from Google Play or side load.
Not that I don’t appreciate the work the people put into those ROMs. Just because some roms aren’t for me, there still some good work there.
But I will check Whompasaurus. I recently installed Xposed, and I’m kind of mix on it; the lack of being able to access recent apps, ram cleaner by holding down the home button is rubbing me the wrong way.
Back on topic, I tried changing the samsungani file to a zip file and see if I could open it. Didn’t work. Not a surprise though.

Step 7- :highfive: click the thanks button if u want or pm me if u have some bitcoins u managed to accumulate somehow and wanna donate em to me
I just got «whomped» yesterday (Whompasaurus ROM) and so I can now say for sure that the reason some people are having a problem with these instructions, is because they’re on the unmodified factory ROM (even if they’re rooted).
I just changed to the Whompasaurus ROM and lo and behold, there’s the «bootanimation.zip» file, sitting right in the /system/media directory!
So I just wanted to verify for everyone that doesn’t see that file there already, that this method will NOT work for you!
And so if you do not already see this file b4 downloading version of it, then my bet is that you are using the Factory ROM, which you Rooted.
But there is no «bootanimation.zip» file in the Factory ROM and it will not use that method.
Most custom ROMs however (even if based on the Factory Rom), do use this method and yes, it is as simple to put this one in as it says above and after downloading the file to your phone, it shouldn’t take you anymore than one single minute to perform the steps above!
