Location Reminders

What is it?

Any.do’s Location Reminders are a simple and easy way to stay on top of your tasks as you go through your day. By setting a location reminder such as ‘pick up flowers’ and choosing the location of your favorite flower shop you will get notified as soon as you’re in close proximity to execute that item.

Who has access?

• The feature is available to Premium users only
• The feature is available on iOS and Android.
• Device location-permissions are required.

How does it work?

• You can add a location reminder to any of the items in your standard lists (excluding Smart Grocery Lists).
• Location reminders can be set for ‘arrival’ or ‘departure’ and you can save your favorite places for quick setup.
• You can even add “Favorite Locations” so that you can add them to any task quickly and easily.
• As long as the location reminder is active (task has not been completed), the reminder will keep on showing when arriving/leaving the desired location.

To set a Location Reminder

✔️ Android/ iOS

First, make sure that the task at hand does not already have a one-time reminder setup. If it does, tap the Delete option in order to remove it. Then:

1. Tap on the task for which you want to set a location reminder.
2. Under “Remind me about this”, tap “At a location”.
3. Tap on the desired location and choose between “Remind me when I arrive” or “Remind me when I leave”.
4. Tap “set” and save

To add a favorite location

✔️ Android/ iOS

1. Tap on any task to open its Task View
2. Under “Remind me about this”, tap “At a location”.
3. Select “Add a new location”.
4. Enter the location’s address and give it a title, then press “done”. You will now be able to select this location with just one press on any task in the future.

To edit/ delete a Location Reminder

✔️ Android/ iOS

1. Select the task to open its Task Menu.
2. Under “Remind me about this”, tap on the current location reminder.
3. Tap on the pencil icon to edit your location details, tap on the bin icon to delete it.
4. Tap ‘Done’.

To change your reminder type

✔️ Android/ iOS

1. Select the task to open its Task Menu.
2. Under “Remind me about this”, tap on the current location reminder.
3. Tap on the bin icon to remove the location reminder.
4. Choose the reminder option you would like to switch to (One Time / Recurring).
5. Set your desired reminder time.
