Подключив клавиатуру Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad к компьютеру с ОС Windows 8.1 я столкнулся с стандартной проблемой раскладки. Раскладка клавиатур Apple отличается от Windows, к который мы все привыкли, а так как при печати я смотрю на клавиатуру, постоянно путался со знаками препинания и буквой “Ё”, которую постоянно использую. Поэтому стал смотреть в сторону создания кастомной, в моём случае Apple, раскладки.

Для создания кастомной раскладки, Microsoft предлагает программу Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MKLC). Требует Framework 2.0.50727.

Для примера создадим русскую раскладку клавиатуры Apple.

1. Откроем программу

2. Выберем тип расположения клавиш на клавиатуре в меню View –> Options

3. Чтобы не настраивать каждую клавишу, загрузим существующую в системе русскую раскладку в меню File –> Load Existing Keyboard…

4. Присвоим имя и описание раскладке в меню Project –> Properties. Выполняя одиночный клик на клавишах делаем необходимые изменения. В итоге получится:

И тоже самое, только с “нажатым” Shift

5. Напоследок проверим как работает новая раскладка. Для этого вызовем тест раскладки в меню Project –> Test Keyboard Layout…

6. Если ошибок нет, соберём пакет новой раскладки в меню Project –> Build DLL and Setup Package.

На выходе получим файлы для установки.

7. Для установки с правами администратора запускаем setup.exe , установка пройдёт автоматически, система сообщит об успешной установке

8. В языковых параметрах системы остаётся только настроить раскладки клавиатуры

9. Для того, чтобы новая раскладка работала на экране приветствия и для новых пользователей, необходимо скопировать текущие настройки пользователя в профиль системы и в профиль пользователя по умолчанию.

Question: Q: Is there a Windows 10 driver for the Apple USB numeric keyboard?

The Boot Camp drivers allow the keyboard to work but not the side numeric keys. Also, the Magic Mouse seems to finger scroll reverse to normal iMac use.

I have the Apple USB connected keyboard (Magic Keyboard 2?) with the number keys on the right side of the keyboard with other functions much like a calculator. Under Windows 10 I am forced to use the numbers above the alphabetic keyboard and the right side keys have no recognition. I am also using the Magic Mouse and the scrolling I was referring to was the finger tabbing which scrolls the screen; no trackpad.

The «clear» key on the Apple numeric keypad acts as a «Num Lock» key.

I just had to press it once and the keypad functions every time I enter the Windows partition

The Numeric Keypad should work as expected. Please also see Use your Apple Keyboard in Windows with Boot Camp — Apple Support .

Do you have the Trackpad tab in the Bootcamp control panel? FlipFlopWheel is for the trackpad scrolling.

1. In Ease of Access, turn on On Screen Keyboard. This is to show you what transpires next.

2. With On-Screen Keyboard on, like this.

3. Click on the Options in the bottom-right of our On-Screen Keyboard, which brings up.

4. . and click on the Turn on numeric key pad check box and Click OK. You should now see the NumLock button at the bottom right corner.

5. Click on it to enable it. You should now be able to type numbers with the On-screen Keyboard and the Numeric Pad should work as expected.

6. If you do not want to use the On-screen keyboard, press the Clear key under F16, which toggles the NumLock without the On-Screen Keyboard. Please test and verify.

How do I pair apple wireless keyboard with windows 10

My apple wireless keyboard has stopped pairing with Windows 10. Now when I try to pair through settings, I’m asked to enter a passcode for the keyboard rather than being supplied a passcode to pair the device. I’m unable to type anything using the keyboard. Entering four zeros using the laptop keyboard does not work. I’ve tried un-installing bluetooth drivers and reinstalling. This doesn’t help. Any advice?

After trying 15 times in vain, here is the method that worked for me (source)

1. Go to «Add Bluetooth or other device»
2. Find the wireless keyboard and double click on it.
3. When prompted for a pin, enter anything on the screen, I used «123123». I dont know what else will work.
4. NOW IS THE IMPORTANT PART.
5. HIT ‘Connect’ on your screen and IMMEDIATELY enter ‘123123’ + ENTER/RETURN on the wireless apple keyboard, and you should be paired.
6. If you have issues, turn off Bluetooth and restart the wireless keyboard and repeat the process.

at least in mine. I was in limbo, and was prompted for a PIN without seeing what it was. I read about using 1234 and I tried it but it never worked. The steps here are a touch unbelievable however I followed them, instead used 1234. After a few times getting the timing correct, it worked. Good job persevering and sharing to those of us who are stuck.

I know this thread is old but this worked for me. currently typing on my (1st-gen) Apple Wireless Keyboard, Lenovo X1 Tablet (3rd-gen — «Clamshell» mode), Windows 10 Pro 1809:

1 — I’m sure you can use Bluetooth in the Settings app, but I used Control Panel. I searched for «bluetooth» and clicked «Add a Bluetooth device» under «Devices and Printers.»

2 — I powered the Apple Wireless Keyboard OFF (if already off then proceed..)

3 — I held down the power button on the keyboard until the green LED came on AND started flashing. KEEP HOLDING THROUGHOUT PAIRING PROCESS!

4 — The pairing code FINALLY came up, and I was able to type in the code/hit enter (while still holding the power button on the keyboard).

5 — I let off of the power button upon pairing finalized, the computer installed drivers, and I typed this response!

How do you connect an Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric pad to Windows 10 via Bluetooth?

I recently bought an Apple magic keyboard with numeric pad to use with my computer, after reading threads online that you can connect it via Bluetooth to a Windows PC. When I search to add a new Bluetooth device, my PC doesn’t find the keyboard.

I tested the keyboard with my MacBook Pro where I am able to use it fine. It also connects using the wire to my PC, but it won’t find the keyboard via Bluetooth. My Windows PC has Bluetooth 5.0, and I’ve tried holding down Command + W , tried resetting the keyboard via my MacBook Pro, but it still isn’t able to find my keyboard.

Does anyone know a way to fix this issue?

When you have the Windows Bluetooth pane open and it is searching for devices then slide the power control on the keyboard to Off and then On shortly after. This should make the keyboard discoverable by Windows.

Make sure that the keyboard is not plugged in via cable to another computer, and make sure that it is not able to communicate with a previously paired Mac at the same time.

Note that the comments you have received earlier regarding duplicates and directions concerns a completely different keyboard, namely the «Apple Wireless Keyboard». You have the «Apple Magic Keyboard» which works in a slightly different manner regarding Bluetooth pairing — and it doesn’t have a power button, but rather a slider.
