Just got it to work

I’ve worked in IT for about 20 years(not a boomer. GenX). This took me longer than necessary to get working on my iPhone. Like the other reviewer, downloading the app was easy. Connecting to the WiFi was easy. However, the App could not connect to the camera.
Fix for iPhone only: within iPhone settings, scroll down to find the XDV App. In its settings, turn on Local Network. Done.
Other phones may have something similar. So, if you run into the app not finding your camera, look for that other setting. Good luck.
Once it is working, I recommend downloading any video to your phone, before trying to play it. The streaming takes longer to get the video ready to play, than it does to download, then play from the iPhone. Very short test video.

Aside from the App, you can connect to a PC(probably Mac too), via USB. Then, Power the camera on. Select USB Mode. This method, you can simply use it as a flash drive to get to your pics and videos.

1-2 stars for setup difficulty(lack of instructions really).
4 stars for ease of use and quality of video. Not too bad.
5 stars for the design. Accessories. And operating system on the device.

Cheap camera but app simply doesn’t work.

The overall camera comes with a lot of features and accessories considering how cheap it is, but if it doesn’t work what good is it? I have a new iPhone and when I download the app it gives you 1 option to connect to WiFi and when you click it says it can’t connect. Also the display screen on the camera itself really hurts my eyes almost makes you go cross eyed, not sure if my screen is broken or what. I’m wondering if all the reviews I read online were fake because of the reviews here. I’m pretty sure I just flushed $40 for this thing plus $25 for a 64 sd card. I’m gonna try connecting again through iPad but either way this isn’t at all user friendly.

Amazing Camera and App!

Ok, so first of all, I love this camera! If you are looking for a cheap camera that works like a GoPro, then buy this! The app is awesome as well. You can take pictures with the app and you can edit videos and download them to your device. You can also film stop-motion and movies with it. One thing I would like to see though is that if your camera is connected to the Wi-Fi, you should be able to see the film in your camera app. Does that make sense? Anyway, thank you for your time. I hope this will inspire others to buy this camera.

I would rate it 5 stars but there aren’t really a lot of collections or tutorials or something. What’s good is that you can see some cool new features in your device but what’s the problem is that you don’t have a lot of freedom and that it’s just limited collections.

You can’t watch them enough, it makes the apple pro max such an enjoyable product to own.

Disappointed

I tried to order some apple products this past Black Friday weekend with no resolve. I tried to pay for the items in my cart using Apple Pay which has my debit card, two different credit cards, and my one-week-old Apple Card. All cards have a close to zero or zero balance and work for reoccurring monthly payments as well as recent purchases at my regular grocery shopping. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with over four different phone calls with three additional apple employees. I figured there were issues with Apple being overloaded with Black Friday/Cyber Monday orders on Saturday, so I tried Sunday and again on Monday. I tried all my Apple Pay payment options and always got “Payment Not Processed.” I made sure my iOS and Apple store app were up to date. I deleted and reinstalled the Apple Store app. I restarted my phone—all of which the Apple employees had me do again over my phone calls with them. So Thursday and Friday, the apple store didn’t work. I invested in the Apple ecosystem to not deal with tech issues. I invested three extra hours in helping Apple become aware of its problems and get more orders. I missed out on the $25 Black Friday gift card, and this issue still isn’t resolved within this version of the Apple Store app and my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I wish someone would help me as much as I have helped apple become of this issue.

Don’t recommend

So on October 12 I ordered AirPods through the apple online store expecting really good service well NO I ordered them on October 12 and it said they would arrive around oct 20-22 well It took longer than that and I was like ahh it’s probably just late days pass and pass so it’s nov first and I had to do some so I contacted customer service through service wanted to save time and was attended really well but I told him my order was taking longer than what it was originally supposed to be I wasn’t trying to make a big deal he said yea my package got lost and he would REPLACE it for a new pair. I check my order status and it says I have to return air pods in order to get a replacement but wait I never even got my AirPods so I was tired of it and callled customer service and this guy was very RUDE about and said he couldn’t find my billing order so I was really frustrated about that. Later that day I called again because this wasn’t okay anymore so I called and this really nice lady helped me out and omg my billing number was there so she helped me out and today I received my stuff but don’t recommend it’s too much of a problem for a simple object not worth it don’t purchase from here just go to the store. Some guy from customer service was sooo rude l
