Yep, its a monster but nivida haven’t set a release date for it yet even though they said may, i brought a mad catz mojo instead which is just a good and can play everything up to n64 at full speed.

That’s pretty weak to be honest, even my Xperia Play from 4 years ago can play n64 games. These days you should really expect your Android gaming device to play DC and PSP games.

any quad core pc can play those types of games, my old pc handled them well, supposedly a intel chipset handles them better but they can run just as good with a amd cpu aswell.

Pretty much any modern hardware can emulate PS1/N64, there is an emulator for Dreamcast that’s supposedly playable. I’ve never tried it myself, but I’d guess you’d need a minimum of either a SD600 or maybe an 800. There’s an experimental GameCube emulator on the Play store, but I’m pretty sure it’s not at the point of playability on any hardware. MAYBE the Nvidia TV console or one of the K1 tablets will eventually be able to run it. There’s demos on YouTube you can look up, and last I checked I remember the dev got Wind Waker to run at a decent framerate while indoors, but sound didn’t work, and it looks like a slideshow outside.

up to hq3x maybe more if you had the x1 chip, i’ll let you know what other shaders when i turn on the mojo later.

yes but you say the xperia play can play n64 games, but can it play those games at full speed and high res?

the mojo may not beat the x1 regarding power, but for what i want it to do and getting it so cheap i’m pretty happy with it so far, there is no way i’m waiting 6 months later in europe, that is a long wait.

That’s actually a good idea, the original Shield Portable hooked up to a TV, since it’s basically a giant controller with a screen. It also has way more power than any of those outdated Android Boxes so it would open up the DC library and a selection of the PSP library.

Heck, my tablet can play PSP games and I’m sure the Shield has it bested by a considerable margin. There’s some slowdown, mind you, but they’re still very comfortably playable.
