Description

If you misplace your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, the Find My iPhone app will let you use any iOS device to find it and protect your data. Simply install this free app, open it, and sign in with the Apple ID you use for iCloud. Find My iPhone will help you locate your missing device on a map, remotely lock it, play a sound, display a message, or erase all the data on it.

For missing iOS devices, Find My iPhone also includes Lost Mode. Lost Mode locks your device with a passcode and can display a custom message and contact phone number right on the Lock Screen. While in Lost Mode, your device can keep track of where it has been and report back so you can view its recent location history, right from the Find My iPhone app.

Please note that Find My iPhone must be enabled in iCloud settings on your device before you can locate it with this app.

• Locate your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac on a map

• Play a sound for two minutes at full volume (even if your device is set to silent)

• Remotely lock your device with a passcode

• Display a custom message on the Lock Screen

• View recent location history of your device while in Lost Mode (iOS devices)

• Get driving directions to device location

• Remotely erase all content and settings on your device

• Battery charge indicator

• View your current location and the location of your missing device on the same map.

• Cancel a pending erase request if your missing device is offline.

How Your Data is used
When you use Find My iPhone, your device’s location, as well as information about your device and your account will be sent to and retained by Apple so Apple can provide you with the service. Your device’s location is only sent to Apple if you actively request the location of a device or accessory. If you choose to enable the Send Last Location feature, your device’s last known location will be automatically sent to Apple any time your device’s battery reaches a critically low level. Apple retains location information and makes it accessible to you for 24 hours, after which it is deleted.

Proud to use this app

I’ve never used an app that help me be motivated.I didn’t start working out right away I was having problems with the wound on my foot I’m a diabetic I’m in a rehab.I averaged about 10,000 steps per day I’ve gotten as high as 20,000. The second my phone acts up I take the next day off in the beginning my foot used to hurt every 200 steps I have to take my foot off the bicycle and put it down by 20 seconds I’ve gotten to the point that in 10,000 steps I might not have to take my foot off the break pedal at all I might just have to stop the bike for a split second it’s gotten so much better my problem is the wound in my foot is not quite healing so they are apparently going to takeThe bone out of my foot that’s infected I won’t be able to move my little toe when ever again but better taking a Bone outYou’re losing any part of my foot toe or something like that.I love working out jars from China void the pain and get the wound to heal this is been the best experience that I’ve ever done exercising.I don’t think I could’ve done all these exercises when I first went into the rehab I lost 40 pounds in 35 days but I did it the wrong way I just starve myself.I have not put more than about 10 or12 pounds back on but I have much bigger arms and stronger and my calf & thighs a solid I’m doing so much better and I’m proud and recommend this app

Simple and intrinsically rewarding

I love this pedometer, I downloaded it after seeing it recommended on the Health app on my iPhone and immediately was loved the barebone layout–the app is exactly as advertised, no fancy (confusing) bells or whistles and the best part — no constant spam trying to get you to download or spend money on the app or anything else. I love that you set your daily goal and can earn badges for going above and beyond your goal, monthly challenges, special streak challenges and lifetime step and floor goals to work towards and it’s completely autonomous (. ) so refreshing especially if your just getting active again or like myself devote your physical fitness and working out to making yourself feel good — not to share your weekly stats with friends/co-workers or family like so many other apps these days. Hitting my goals gives me a sense of satisfaction and this app have helped me reach them in a healthy way–the only thing I would love added is a breakdown by day to see how much you walked by hour but yeah download this app more than work it — thank you pedometer++ team. 🙂 P.S. if you go into settings you can see how much you’ve walked since getting the app in terms of marathons, Ironman etc. which is also a cool thing worth checking out that i’m sure many people miss!

GREAT!

I completely love this app! It syncs so very well with my phone and I love that you can add your settings for your height accordingly. My only issue it that the “stairs climbed” is absolutely never accurate. I run up and down my stairs all darn day long and sometimes at the end of the day my app tells me I’ve walked “0 flights”. I am hoping for a way to correct this being the I am continually going from my basement laundry room, to our wood shop, back up two flights to the kitchen, upstairs to the office, back downstairs to the printer, back upstairs to clean/get my son’s laundry/etc, back down two flights to my “satellite office…
Not to mention all of the running around from after school activities such as karate, soccer, volleyball, basketball…and still being a wife, mom, and child of God.
But I digress. This app IS awesome. I like the challenges and the goals (albeit some are unrealistic for working parents; or even stay-at-home parents) but I know with my kiddos I’ll never touch some of them.
Keep working on this app ya’ll. Is IS super great. It just needs more! More to work for. Thank you!!

Ratings and Reviews

Awesome app, reliable service, outstanding developer

I have been using Pushover for more than a year to receive critical alerts for work. I go on call once every three weeks and this app has never let me down. The feature that I like the most from the paid service is that I can create an application with its own email address and set up my alerts to go to that email address. Any of my devices running pushover can then receive that alert. The service itself is far more configurable than that but for the sake of brevity I will keep it short. Also one of my other favorite things is the API. We are going to be doing some very interesting things with alerts that require acknowledgment. My biggest request is that Superblock LLC would add a third type of alert (level 3?) that has an approve/deny response instead of a simple repeat alert until acknowledged. I would like to be able to push approve/deny workflow items to my phone and be able to capture those responses on the backend or with a postback like I can with level 2. It would also be great if the repeat frequency of the level 2 and 3 alerts could be configured.

A+ exactly what you are looking for!

as a network engineer (and somewhat coder), I
frequently get very important alerts I have to be able to depend on arriving. Well some of the software I use has companion apps that allow me to be a notification to get notifications via push messages, I was looking for a bit more flexibility and customization.
This app/service is perfect! I was able to quickly migrate some of my alerts by using the custom email address they give you. overtime I’ll upgrade (on my end) some of these alerts from using email to using a more reliable HTTPS API method (with email as a fallback).

I can’t believe the service is five dollars for life as I’m sure that rate will go up at some point but either way it’s a great service (I paid up as soon as I got my first test alert).

Apple Watch notifications are unreliable

This app works great for notifications to my iPhone but my associated Apple Watch notifications are often delayed and/or unreliable. I have my home automation system pushing these notifications and my phone gets every one of them and almost instantly. The Watch only gets some of them and often delayed. I use many other apps with watch notifications without issue so it is not a communication or settings problem. I can have my automation hub send the exact same notifications to pushover and it’s own app and my iPhone will get both notifications at the same second. My watch gets the automation app notifications also at the same second, the pushover notification comes sometimes at the same time, sometimes a few seconds later and sometimes never. This app is literally the only one that I have the problem with. I have reinstalled both the phone and watch app and tried all combinations of Bluetooth, WiFi and Cellular connections with the watch and the phone . nothing fixes this issue.
