Subscriptions are automatically billed monthly or annually to your iTunes Account and auto-renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Payments are charged to your iTunes account upon confirmation of purchase. You can turn off auto-renew or manage subscriptions in your iTunes & App Store account settings. Get this app if you have an iPod, iPad, or iPhone that has been shut off your provider. As for me, I have two iPods and an iPhone that has been shut off the provider. I linked all of them under the same account. I can text as (724) ***-**** and nobody knows that I don’t actually have a phone. This app is perfect and has no flaws, unless you have absolutely no tolerances for ads. The ads only pop up at the bottom of your screen AFTER you send a message. It’s not too bad. I usually can’t stand ads, but this doesn’t interfere with the quality of the app. You can also, if you double-text, click the little «x» in the corner of the ad to view the keyboard again. You get your notifications as always. Text free also can text you personally when you have updates or to remind you that if your phone number isn’t used within a certain amount of time, it will be given to someone else. But anyone that uses this app usually uses it frequently and doesn’t have the issue. It only happened to me a few years back when I only got the app to text my mom for a busy month, and right after that I didn’t use it. I got a new number, with ease, and now I can use it any time I wish. You may also reserve your number for a small fee. For free you may record your own voicemail. You may also choose your own ringtone, and on Androids you can use your pre-installed ringtones on your device.

TextFree app is an Awesome app that can save you lots money

If you have cell phone service that is pay as you go where you pay ten cents per minute you can use your new phone number from this app as a WiFi phone and enjoy unlimited voice calling and not worry about racking up minutes on your prepaid or pay as you go cell phone plan also if you live in an area with poor cell phone service but have a strong WiFi signal then you don’t have to worry anymore about dropped calls using your cell phone as you are using WiFi to make and receive calls. Note No 911 Calls can be made with this service so you must use your cell phone or land line for 911 calls. This feature full phone line comes with voicemail, text, and so much more for $4.99 per month. Calls are clear using your speaker phone and uses less power using WiFi then using a cell phone tower. Plus if you own other cell phones or iPads with no cell service they too will all work using the same local phone number just download TextFree app on all your other devices and you have phones that you can use throughout your home even on locked phones and iPads. You will not be disappointed this is one truly amazing app well worth $4.99 per month and you can try it for free if you don’t mind ads but you risk losing your phone number after 30 days. But your subscription guarantees you can keep your new phone number and is ad free.

This is been a success story also a struggle story me as the reviewer have been using Textfree for over six years close to seven and when I had no way to have a phone service from my iPhone I was able to always have access to people calling me and having textWhich it being a American app I had no idea I’d be able to use it in Europe where I went and subsequently suffered a heart attack still having no phone service tax-free had allowed me to call and text my friends and family in the USA with no extra surcharge and really no problem this was a great thing now if this doesn’t come with the bells and whistles but it still was pretty forward thinking for time it came out it’s still one of the originals and one thing about it it’s stable sometime to glitches but it’s stable overall and I’ve still been able to use it we talking about six years of service that I use pretty much every day I am an original thank you tax-free you really helped me expand on so many things and yes I do have phone service now but I still use this as one of my secondaryNumbers one of the best apps ever invented because it works

How does this app record calls?

Take a look at our screenshots for step by step instructions.

When you’re on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers tap the merge button on your screen to create a 3 way call between your other caller and our recording line.

If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Once that happens, tap the add call button on your screen, call the person you want to record, then press the merge button when they answer.

Can I download recordings to my computer?

Yes, and we’ve made it extremely easy to do this. Simply select a recording then tap the arrow button to the right of the player. This will show a screen containing a number of ways to share your recording. The most popular ways to transfer recordings to your computer are by email, Dropbox or Google Drive.

How many recordings can I make?

As many as you want! We don’t have a limit on the number of recordings you can make.

If you upgrade to 1 year unlimited recording, payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. The TapeACall Pro unlimited recordings subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. The cost depends on the selected plan. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of the free trial will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.
