Question: Q: Wrong billing address
How can I change the billing address that auto populates on the Apple email receipts? I have removed that address from each card individually. I have an iPhone and iPhone. No computer.

Just to share what I did to resolve this issue. I deleted one of the payment methods associated with the Apple ID. I added it again, changed the auto populated address to the new address then I linked it to Apple Pay. When I went back to iTunes applied.apple.com Payment & Shipping, the address was still greyed out BUT it was the right address.

Log into your account in the App Store/iTunes and you should be able to change/verify it there. Or you can click the blue Edit payment methods in the article below. When signed in and the page loads, you will be on the credit card page. After updating that, click the Go Back button at the lower left and you will be on the address page.

Thank you for your response. I went to the blue link and instead of go back in the lower left, it’s just back in the upper left corner. That closes the screen and brings me back to iTunes. If I go to Appleid.Apple.com and attempt to change it there under Payment & Shipping and then edit payment information, the wrong billing address is there but greyed out where I’m unable to change it.
Apr 3, 2021 6:47 PM
I am only able to change the shipping address but the billing address remains greyed out. I tried on the phone and the iPad.
Apr 3, 2021 6:54 PM
Can you change the address by accessing your iTunes account?
Apr 3, 2021 6:55 PM
How do I access the iTunes account on the phone or iPad? So far, I’ve been unsuccessful. When I open iTunes on the iPad or the phone, it’s only a place to buy entertainment. I do not find a place for settings or account management, other than Purchased and My Purchases.
Apr 3, 2021 6:58 PM
If running IOS 14, go to Settings>Your Name>Media & Purchases. Click the portrait at the top left. That should allow you to sign into the App Store/iTunes
Apr 3, 2021 7:19 PM
Signing in this way is how I’m able to actually see the incorrect billing address and it being grey and unable to be changed. If I leave these setting and go to the wallet setting, the billing addresses for each payment method are correct. Yet the emailed receipts still have the incorrect address.

Question: Q: Billing Address
I am new to this discussion board and new to Mac’s. I have iphoto and want to buy a calendar but I get this message: «The billing address does not contain a valid city/state/zip combination. Please edit the address and try saving again.» The funny part is it is where I get my credit card bill. It is Pelican, AK 99832. Is there a list of places that they will not recognized?

I think you can have different billing and shipping addresses

My billing address is a PO Box address but I am not having it shipped to that one because it says that they will not. This is the message I am getting when I try to turn the one click on in my account. Address line 1, postal code, country code or Address line 1, city name, State Province, country code are required. In there Shopping Experience it states that you have to enter your address that you have with your credit card and that is my PO box. This is what it states:
In order to process your order, we’ll need you to enter both your billing address and shipping address. Your billing address and shipping address should match the information on your credit card account. We do not accept PO Box or international addresses. Shipping addresses for all U.S. orders should be within the 50 states. All of your items will be shipped to the shipping address you designate.
I don’t think I can order from here if I am reading it right.

Question: Q: My Apple ID billing address is wrong on Appleid.com and I can’t change it
The billing address for my Apple ID is correct on all of my devices but when I visit Appleid.com it shows my old billing address and I can’t change it. When I go to appleid.com, the billing address is greyed out and I can’t revise anything.

See: Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Payment & Shipping. You might be asked to sign in with your Apple ID.
4. To update the address for a payment method, tap the payment method, then edit your information. Tapping the method should reveal details for that method including the billing address. You might need to enter the security code that’s printed on your credit or debit card. If you see Apple Pay after the last 4 digits of the card number, go to the Wallet app to edit the card information.
5. Edit the method then tap Done

Thanks for the response! However, the address you pointed me to is already correct. As I stated in my original question, the billing address is correct on all of my devices. However, the billing address listed for my apple id is still incorrect. When I go on appleid.apple.com to change it, it’s greyed out and won’t let me change it. I noticed this because I made a purchase in the app store and on the receipt, my billing address was wrong.

I have the exact same problem: The information is correct on my iPhone but wrong at appleid.apple.com where there is no way to updated the information because it’s grayed out.

I’m having the same issue. I’m able to change my shipping address, but not my billing address.
Sep 1, 2021 10:57 AM
In the end, I contacted Apple support and they were basically completely mystified. They had no explanation nor any direct way of fixing it.
In the end, I had to add a new card, delete the old card, re-add the old card, and then delete the new card. Of course, this will not work if you only have one credit card.
There’s clearly a bug in Apple’s system here that occurs under a set of unknown edge conditions.

The same thing happened to me. I got bounced between Apple support and Goldman Sachs and nobody could figure out what was going on. Do you mind elaborating on your solution? Are you saying you removed the card from your apple wallet?
Sep 8, 2021 9:26 AM
1) Add a new card.
2) Remove the old card.
3) Re-add the old card.
4) Remove the new card.
The adding of a new card was necessary because I had app-store subscriptions which requires that you always have some card entered. If you don’t have any subscriptions, then I think you can just remove the card and re-add it.
Sep 9, 2021 5:13 AM
I have also been having this problem. This is especially frustrating because I now live in a state without sales tax, but am still paying tax on any app purchases based on the old address. Apple is basically not doing business correctly because it has this bug around users’ billing addresses.
Sep 16, 2021 6:46 PM
The add new card/remove card works! I had to fire up iTunes/Music, go to account settings (bottom of app, tiny link), and there it had my old billing address that I couldn’t change. When I went to delete it and add it again, it said no because I have a subscription to something. So adding a new card, then removing the old one solved the problem. It just won’t let you remove the old info unless it has something new to tie the subscription too. It’s quite silly that there isn’t a simple «edit billing info» but here we are.

Question: Q: Billing Address
I have been trying to add the billing address to my apple ID but an error keeps coming. I have tried multiple cards. I have ensured my bank card is of my country of residence. I have tried at various times. However, I still can not fix the issue.

I am also not being able to change my country. I have a bank card of another country which is not what my Mac is set on but every time I try to change the country, they ask me add another payment method and then it says try again later.
