Стандартный эмулятор в Android Studio довольно прожорливое и капризное существо. И нормально работает на хороших компьютерах с Intel процессорами. Так что обладателям AMD процессоров вкупе со слабыми машинами приходится плохо. На помощь приходят сторонние эмуляторы. BlueStacks — один из них.

Скачивание и установка

Обратите внимание, что HyperV и Песочница Windows должны быть отключены на Windows 10 Pro. Обидно.

How to Connect Android Studio to Bluestacks

If you are an android developer then you may know that you can run your Android projects using Android Virtual Device (AVD) or using your android smartphone connected to computer. As an android programmer I use AVD. But Android Virtual Device (AVD) takes lot of time for starting first time. Each time we run project it takes again lot of time. Its really irritating for people like me who have 4GB of RAM, because AVD and Android studio consumes lot of RAM and hangs the system.

Today I was searching for this and found a great solution. There is another way to run Android Studio projects using Bluestacks. Bluestacks is an android emulator that is capable of running android applications in computer. It consumes very less memory and also runs project fast as compared to AVD. It can be great option in case your AVD is not working. So below I am sharing some simple steps by which you can connect Android Studio to Bluestacks and then run android projects.

How to Connect Android Studio to Bluestacks

1. First of all start Bluestacks. If you don’t have Bluestacks installed in your computer then you can download it from below link.

2. Now open Android Studio and then open your project.

3. Click on Run button located at the top of Android Studio window.

4. A new window will open that will automatically detect the Bluestacks.

5. Now just select it and click on OK button to run your project.

How to use Bluestacks as emulator in Android studio.

Emulator of Android Studio Consumes lots of Ram and also Slow Down PC. So, Better is to use BlueStacks as emulator in android studio as well as in VS Code.

Steps to Connect Bluestacks to Android Studio or VS Code.

Step 1 :- Enable Android Debug Bridge (ADB) in BlueStacks :- Go to Settings / Preferences and Scroll Down to last and you find the ADB option. Just Enable it. See the Below ScreenShot.

Note:- Start and Keep BlueStacks Running before executing the Below Command else it can’t connect to port 5555.

Step 2 :- Go to adb.exe location :- Go to adb.exe location means go to C:\Users\user-name\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools or press Win + R and paste it %LocalAppData%\Android\sdk\platform-tools and open command prompt or Terminal there and Execute the below Command.

adb connect localhost:5555

After running command it shows connect to localhost:5555 means Successfully Connected.

Step 3 :- Now Open your Android Studio or VS Code, It Shows a device connected Already. Now Run your App directly to BlueStacks.
