Компания Cognos, специализирующаяся в области BI и CPM–решений, анонсировала расширение своего BI-решения Cognos 8 Go! Mobile для смартфонов под Windows Mobile 6.
Cognos 8 Go! Mobile является первым в отрасли BI-решением, созданным для просмотра, и оперативного анализа информации с помощью мобильных устройств. Руководитель или сотрудник, которому необходим доступ к тем или иным отчетам в компании, сможет получить его с помощью мобильных устройств также просто, как и через веб-интерфейс. Пользователи Cognos 8 BI также получат возможность использовать свои смартфоны с ОС Windows Mobile 6 для увеличения отдачи от вложений в BI.

Так, Cognos 8 Go! Мобильный клиент позволяет управлять возможностями платформы Cognos 8 BI для принятия решений в любое время, в любом месте. Согласно прогнозу аналитической компании Gartner, объединенный объем поставок PDA и смартфонов за 2007 г. достигнет примерно 129 млн. штук, что на 42% больше, чем в 2006 г. В условиях растущего рынка Windows Mobile позволяет компаниям расширить возможности дистанционного использования электронной почты Microsoft Office Outlook, знакомых программ Microsoft Office, а также приложений для управления эффективностью, таких как Cognos BI.

IBM анонсирует новые услуги и ПО для мобильных пользователей
Корпорация IBM представила новые программные продуктыи услуги, позволяющие предоставлять пользователям мобильных устройств функциональные возможности, которые прежде были доступны только на персональном компьютере. Новые предложения, предназначенные для корпоративных и индивидуальных клиентов, помогут пользователям быстрее принимать решения, взаимодействуя с друзьями и коллегами более эффективно, чем это было возможно в эпоху персональных компьютеров.
Новые программные продукты включают средства выполнения бизнес-анализа, поддержки коллективной работы и социальных взаимодействий, а также управления эффективностью бизнеса. Кроме того, IBM предоставляет разработчикам новые инструменты, позволяющие обеспечить функционирование существующих приложений на мобильных устройствах. ПО IBM основывается на открытых стандартах, поэтому может выполняться на большинстве мобильных платформ, включая BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Mobile и Symbian.

IBM также предлагает новое ПО для мобильных устройств: IBM Rational Business Developer, IBM Rational Host Access Transformation Services (HATS), WebSphere Business Monitor и Tivoli Service Management.
IBM Rational Business Developer позволяет разработчикам создавать приложения Web 2.0 с использованием новейшего языка IBM Enterprise Generation Language (EGL) для выполнения на мэйнфрейме или мобильных устройствах. Язык EGL упрощает разработку новых приложений, таких как веб-приложения для мобильных устройств, или расширение существующих приложений, не требуя понимания базовых связующих или платформенных технологий.
