Сегодня поговорим о таком музыкальном исполнителе, как Crazy Frog. Вообще это компьютерный персонах, созданный в 2002-2003 году одним шведским дизайнером.

Crazy Frog — компьютерный анимационный персонаж (лягушонок-певец), созданный в 2002—2003 году шведским дизайнером Эриком Вернквистом. Права на произведение были проданы рингтон-провайдеру Jamba! (Jamster) для использования в рекламе. Данная анимация была создана, чтобы сопровождать странный звуковой эффект, созданный 17-летним шведом Даниэлем Мальмедалем в 1997 году в попытке имитировать звук двигателя мопеда.

Пик популярности Crazy Frog наступил в 2005 году, когда вышел клип на ремикс песни Axel F.

Трек Popcorn — кавер-версия на «Мама сшила мне штаны из берёзовой коры чтобы *опа не потела, не кусали комары«.

Дальше — клип на кавер We are the champions.

Вот мне только одно не понятно : зачем пытаться испортить легенду-оригинал? Это же касается и Last Christmas.

А также у него есть кавер на Jingle bells.

Как я сказала выше, Crazy Frog был действительно бесячим персонажем. Почему. Да потому, что его постоянно в рекламе показывали! Причём очень часто! За один рекламный блок могли показать 2 раза. И так по нескольку раз на день.

В апреле 2005 года многие телезрители выяснили, что рекламируемая услуга представляет собой не единоразовую покупку рингтона, как можно было подумать исходя из содержания ролика, а постоянную подписку на сервисы компании.

В мае 2005 были посланы новые жалобы в ASA. Интенсивность ротаций ролика превысила все рекорды, ранее существовавшие в Британии. По данным The Guardian, Jamster выкупила 73716 ротации на всех каналах страны только в мае — в среднем 2378 ротаций в день — по цене в £8 млн, почти половина которых была потрачена на канал ITV. Около 87 % населения страны видело рекламу Crazy Frog в среднем 26 раз, около 15 % показов происходило дважды в рамках одного рекламного блока, и 66 % показов транслировались в смежных рекламных блоках. Около одной десятой населения просмотрело рекламу более 60 раз. Такая ситуация привела к тому, что значительная часть страны расценивала персонажа как нечто чрезвычайно раздражающее.

Как же я понимаю тех людей, которые видели эту рекламу слишком часто. А ещё он не нравился многим потому, что был без штанов. Простите за откровенность, но это было действительно так. Но этот дефект вроде как исправили.

Сейчас Crazy Frog готовит новый альбом.

Итог

Crazy Frog — действительно, легендарная лягушка начала 2000-х годов. Но в то же время — бесячий персонаж.

Ставлю 4 звезды (1 снимаю за вызывание раздражения) и к прослушиванию рекомендую.

Crazy Frog стал широко известным после ремикса 2005 года с темой «Axel F» (иногда упоминается как «Crazy Frog song», чтобы отличить от оригинала).
