Getting Started

Please be advised of the following

• You are using a Mac, running macOS version 10.14 or later.
• The oldest version of Zoom that is compatible with xpression camera is version 5.1.1.
  Make sure you have installed the most up to date version in order to use this app in Zoom.
• To use xpression camera with Microsoft Teams or Cisco Webex, you must use the app from your web browser.

How do I use xpression camera?

1. Close and reopen your favorite video chat or live streaming apps, such as Zoom or Twitch. (For web apps, close and reopen your browser.)
   
2. In settings, change your webcam to «xpression camera».
   
3. Open the xpression camera app and choose any image or video containing a face. The face depicted will animate according to your facial expressions and head movements, in real time.
   

When will the windows version be released?

We are currently working hard to develop the Windows version so that we can release it as soon as possible. In the meantime, please stay connected for the latest information. Registered users will be informed of product updates via email. We will also announce the WindowsOS launch on xpression camera’s official website

How can I uninstall xpression camera?

To uninstall the app, please delete the following files:

/Applications/xpression camera.app
/Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/XpressionPlugin.plugin

Note: The future version of xpression camera will feature an uninstall function.

How can I use xpression with Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex?

Please open Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex in your web browser to use xpression camera.

Note: The latest Mac version of the app does not support virtual cameras.

Why isn’t xpression camera on the list of selection entries in Zoom’s camera settings?

Try updating your Zoom to the latest version, after which xpression camera should appear in the dropdown menu under camera settings.

Please be aware that older versions of Zoom do not support virtual cameras.
