See where you’re signed in
Use the steps below to see the devices that you’re currently signed in to with your Apple ID.
Use your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch to see where you’re signed in
- Tap Settings > [your name], then scroll down.
- Tap any device name to view that device’s information, such as the device model, serial number, OS version, and whether the device is trusted and can be used to receive Apple ID verification codes. The information might vary depending on the device type. You might need to answer your security questions to see device details.
Use your Mac to see where you’re signed in
- Choose Apple menu > System Preferences.
- Click Apple ID.
- Click any device name to view that device’s information, such as the device model, serial number, and OS version. The information might vary depending on the device type. You might need to answer your security questions to see device details.
Use your PC to see where you’re signed in
- Open iCloud for Windows.
- Click Account Details, then click Manage Apple ID.
- Click any device name to view that device’s information, such as the device model, serial number, and OS version. The information might vary depending on the device type.
Use the web to see where you’re signed in
From the Devices section of your Apple ID account page, you can see all of the devices that you’re currently signed in to with your Apple ID, including Android devices, consoles, and smart TVs:
- Sign in to appleid.apple.com,* then select Devices.
- If you don’t see your devices right away, click View Details and answer your security questions.
- Click any device name to view that device’s information, such as the device model, serial number, and OS version. The information might vary depending on the device type.
* Depending on how you created your Apple ID, you might be required to provide additional information.
Add a device to the list
To add a device to the list, you need to sign in with your Apple ID. After you sign in on a device with your Apple ID, that device appears in the list. Here’s where you need to sign in:
- For iOS or iPadOS, sign in to iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, iTunes & App Stores, or Game Center on the device. You can also see your paired Apple Watch.
- For macOS or Windows 10 and later, sign in to iCloud on the device.
- For Apple TV HD and later, sign in to the iTunes and App Store on the device.
- For Apple TV (3rd generation) and earlier, sign in to the iTunes Store on the device.
Your AirPods will appear in the Find My app, but they won’t appear in your Apple ID device list. You can remove your AirPods from your account using Find My. Devices running iOS 7 or earlier or OS X Mavericks or earlier won’t appear in your device list.
Remove a device from the list
If your device is missing, you can use Find My to find your device and take additional actions that can help you recover it and keep your data safe. If you aren’t using your device anymore, or if you don’t recognize it, you might want to remove it from the list.
If you set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, removing a device will ensure that it can no longer display verification codes. It also won’t have access to iCloud and other Apple services, including Find My, until you sign in again with two-factor authentication. The device won’t reappear in the list unless you sign in again.

Permanently remove a device from your account page
If you’re still signed in with your Apple ID on the device, it might reappear on your account page the next time your device connects to the Internet. To permanently remove the device from your account page, sign out of iCloud, iTunes & App Stores, iMessage, FaceTime, and Game Center on that device, or erase that device.

Share your location with your family
With Family Sharing, it’s easy to share your location with family members in Find My Friends or the Messages app. You can even help family members locate their missing devices in Find My iPhone.
If your device has iOS 13 or later, you can share your location with friends and family members in the Find My app. If your Apple Watch has watchOS 6, use the Find People app.
How it works
The family organizer sets up location sharing in Family Sharing settings. After location sharing is turned on, the organizer’s location is automatically shared with everyone in the family group. Then each family member can choose whether or not to share their location. When you agree to share, your family members see your location in Find My Friends and Messages. If your family members have iOS 13 or later, they can see your location in the Find My app. If they have watchOS 6, they can see your location in the Find People app. And you can see where they’re located too.
Plus, with location sharing enabled, if your device is lost or stolen, you can ask a family member to use Find My iPhone to help you locate it and get it back. If your family member has iOS 13 or later, you can ask them to use the Find My app.
Location sharing isn’t supported in South Korea and might be unavailable in other regions due to local laws.
Choose when to share
Family Sharing lets you decide whether or not you share your location with your family.
To see if you’re sharing, follow these steps:
- Tap Settings > [your name].
- If you use iOS 11, tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
- Tap Share My Location.
- Tap [family member name] to share with that person.
To stop sharing your location, turn off Share My Location. This hides your location from all of your family members and your approved friends. And when you’re ready to share your location again, you can turn it back on at any time.
Choose which device to share your location from
By default, the device that you used to sign in to Family Sharing is the one that shares your location. If you want to share your location from a different device:
- Tap Settings > [your name].
- Tap Family Sharing > Location Sharing.
- Tap Share My Location > From.
- Select the device that you want to share from.
Location sharing and Find My iPhone
If you join Family Sharing and choose to share your location with family members, they can find and secure a missing device for you.
If you turned on Find My iPhone on your missing device, a family member can help you:
- See the location and online or offline status of your device.
- Play a sound on your missing device to help you find it.
- Put your device in Lost Mode if it was already set up with a passcode.
- Remotely erase a device.*
If you don’t share your location, family members can’t access location information about your devices. Without location information, family members can still help you. They can check your missing device’s online or offline status, play a sound on the device, put the device in Lost Mode, or remotely erase the device.*
* Before a family member can erase a device, the device owner needs to enter the password for the Apple ID signed into that device.

If you lose your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch or think it might have been stolen, use Find My and protect your data.
Look for your device on a map
To find your device, sign in to iCloud.com/find. Or use the Find My app on another Apple device that you own.
If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch doesn’t appear in the list of devices, Find My was not turned on. But you can still protect your account if Find My was not turned on.
Mark as Lost
When you mark your device as lost, you lock it remotely with a passcode, keeping your information secure. This also disables Apple Pay on the missing device. And you can display a custom message with your contact information on the missing device.
Report your missing device to the police
The police might request the serial number of your device.
File a Theft and Loss claim
If your missing iPhone is covered by AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, file a claim for an iPhone replacement.
Erase your device remotely
After you erase a device, you can’t track its location, so make sure you no longer need to search for the device. If you have AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, do not erase your iPhone until your claim has been approved.
Contact your wireless network provider
If the missing device is an iPhone or an iPad with cellular, report your missing device to your wireless network provider. Ask the network provider to disable your account to prevent calls, texts and data use. And if your device is covered under your wireless network provider plan, file a claim.
Remove your missing device from your account
If you have AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, do not remove your lost iPhone from your account until your claim has been approved.
Go to appleid.apple.com/uk to remove the missing device from your list of trusted devices.

Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac
Make sure that you set up Find My so that if you ever lose a device or item, including your paired AirPods, Apple Watch, or a personal item with an AirTag attached, you can locate it.
How to turn on Find My for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name, then tap Find My.
- If you want friends and family to know where you are, turn on Share My Location.
- Tap Find My [device], then turn on Find My [device].
- To see your device even when it’s offline, turn on Find My network.*
- To have the location of your device sent to Apple when the battery is low, turn on Send Last Location.
If you want to be able to find your lost device on a map, make sure that Location Services is turned on. To do this, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and turn on Location Services.
* The Find My network is an encrypted, anonymous network of hundreds of millions of Apple devices that can help you locate your device.
How to add your AirPods, Apple Watch, or Beats product to Find My
If your AirPods, Apple Watch, or supported Beats product are paired with your iPhone, they’re automatically set up when you turn on Find My iPhone.
To make sure you can find your devices even if they’re powered off or disconnected, check that Find My network is turned on.
