Repair guide : GSM Antenna iPhone 8 Plus
Problems :

Step 1
Before disassembling the GSM antenna on the iPhone 8 Plus, you have to turn it off.
Press the power button on the right side of the phone for a few seconds.
Then slide right to power off.
Step 2
Use the pentalobe screwdriver included in the standard tool kit in order to remove the bottom screws of the iPhone.
Those screws are on both sides of the dock connector.
Those screws secure the bottom part of the screen onto the frame.
With the hair dryer, heat up the edges of the screen as shown on picture 2.
This will soften the glue between the screen and the frame.
Note :don’t hesitate to it up more to make it easier.
Step 3
Insert the opening pick in the bottom right part of the phone and slide it on the bottom part.
Repeat that step on both left and right side of the phone.
Step 4
Then slide and gently pull the screen as shown on picture 1 and 2 of that step.
Open it as you would open a book. Careful not to tear the three cable linked to the logic board.
Step 5
With the cruciform screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the LCD screen bracket.
Step 6
Remove the connectors bracket.
Step 7
With a nylon spudger, disconnect the battery and unlock the LCD/touch screen cable.
Step 8
Keep using the nylon spudger and disconnect the home button/force touch cable.
Step 9
With a triwing screwdriver, remove the bracket two screws circled in red that secures the front camera/earpiece speaker/proximity sensor cable connectors.
Step 10
Grab that bracket with a pair of tweezers and remove it.
Step 11
Now disconnect the front camera/earpiece speaker/proximity sensor cable with the nylon spudger.
The screen is now disassembled.
Step 12
With the triwing screwdriver and then the cruciform one, remove the three screws circled in red that secure the GSM antenna.
Step 13
Grab the GSM antenna bracket and remove it.
Step 14
With the nylon spudger, disconnect the GSM antenna bracket.
Step 15
Use the nylon spudger and peel off the GSM antenna.
Insert it underneath the antenna and pry up.
Step 16
The GSM antenna of your iPhone 8 Plus is now disassembled.
You can replace it with a new one if needed.

Step 1
Before disassembling the GSM antenna on the iPhone 8, you have to turn it off.
Press the power button on the right side of the phone for a few seconds.
Then slide to the right to power off.
Step 2
With a pentalobe screwdriver in the standard tool kit, remove the two screws at the bottom of the iPhone.
Those screws are located on each side of the dock connector.
They secure the bottom part of the iPhone 8 frame.
With the hair dryer, heat up the edges of the iPhone 8.
This will soften the seal between the screen and the frame.
Note : Heat up a little bit more the top part of the screen to make it easier to remove.
Step 3
Insert an opening pick in the bottom left part of the phone and slide it around the phone.
Repeat that step on the left and right side of the phone.
Step 4
Grab and gently lift the screen.
Gently pull the screen back.
Step 5
Open the screen as you would open a book. Careful not to tear the three cables linked to the logic board.
Step 6
With the cruciform screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the LCD screen bracket.
Step 7
Grab the connectors bracket and remove it
Step 8
With the nylon spudger, disconnect the battery.
Unlock the LCD/Touch screen cable.
Step 9
Keep the nylon spudger and disconnect the Force Touch sensor and home button cable.
Step 10
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the three screws circled in red securing the front camera/earpiece speaker/proximity sensor cable connectors.
Step 11
Grab that bracket with a pair of tweezers and remove it.
Step 12
Disconnect the front camera/earpiece speaker/proximity sensor with the nylon spudger.
The screen of your iPhone 8 is now disassembled.
Step 13
Remove the triwing screw circle in red (Photo 1)
Then remove the two cruciform screws circled in red (photo 2)
Those screws secure the GSM antenna bracket.
Step 14
Grab the bracket and remove it with tweezers.
Step 15
Disconnect the two antenna cables with the nylon spudger.
Step 16
Still with the nylon spudger, peel off the GSM antenna and remove it
Step 17
The GSM antenna on your iPhone 8 is now disassembled.
You can replace it with a new one if needed.
To reassemble your iPhone 8 follow this guide in reverse order.
