Question: Q: How to disable “one more minute” on Screen Time?
Hi Guys, i used to use the Screen Time to lock my apps, using 1 minute as time limit for all apps. After IOS 13, now there is a option that you can access any app for “one more minute”. I think that it can be usefull for somepeople but i really didnt like that there is no option to disable it. Is there any way to disable? Thanks

Got this issue too, one of my kids is having the ‘One more minute’ option on her iPhone7 iOS13 which she can click over and over again for multiple apps at any time she likes.
Apple please fix this, we need a way to disable this ‘One more minute’ option, now screen time is useless.

The ‘one more minute’ feature needs to be turned off — immediately! It makes the whole screentime feature useless for parents who want to control their kids time with their devices.

Screen Time was a great initiative, but please Apple, with the next update can you allow parents the ability to disable the ‘One more minute’ option. Screen time is effectively useless without this function as children just repeatedly tap the ‘One more minute’ button and go over the allotted time by as much as they want to. As mentioned by other parents, many children do not have the self control to limit the time they are using their device which was why Screen Time was previously a good way of helping them regulate use on an electronic device.

This ridiculous and needs to be fixed! What’s the point of setting limits if they can just keep adding a minute!

I can’t agree more. Screen time was working well until this was introduced. Now I’m back to manually monitoring everything. This feature needed much more parent testing and feedback before making this change. #ProductManagerFailure

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you want to disable the ‘One more minute’ option for Screen Time. I’ll be happy to point you to the right place.
As it turns out, this option cannot be disabled in Settings. You can always leave feedback here: Product Feedback — Apple
Have a great day.

Hello? Where in Settings is the disable option? I can not find this option in Screentime tab.

Not a good solution. It’s a hack. I want to allow more than one minute on several apps. I hope they fix this problem.

+1 for #ProductManagerFailure
Apple, pls turn off the ‘one more minute’ feature or make it at least configurable for parents. It’s a no go that kids can override the screentime restrictions so easily.

Why hasn’t APPLE responded to this issue?! I called, I posted and still nothing! No we are working on it NOTHING! So frustrating

I had a chat with support today 12/9- there is still no solution to this issue and the person i chatted with suggested I contact one of the engineers and that they read all suggestions. Praying this gets resolved quickly to make screentime useful again.

Maybe Apple can add One More Minute only when limit is reached. I put the downtime time, when games limits start only from 13:00. He plays 45 min, and than, if needed, can add One More Minute.

here’s the thing you can’t disable it but if you set up time limits for the apps to one minute then after that you have to block after limit once that’s on the “one more minute” option is no more now they have to enter in the screen time password that YOU set

Question: Q: My Iphone time off by 5 minutes. my wife’s is fine.
My iphone is off by 5 minutes from my wife’s iphone. We had a bet as to whose iphone was incorrect.
Turns out I have to do the dishes all week.
My Iphone 3G is 4-5 minutes behind every clock I can find that keeps accurate time. I looked up the official time online as well as a few other friend’s iPhones. Mine is off.
My wife and I both have iPhone 3Gs. and live in the same house. We have not jailbroke our phones or anything. I have never dropped it, I keep it in a case.
Any ideas how to fix this timing issue?
I’ve done a shut down restart. Let the battery drain dead. I sync to my computer on a daily basis.
I’ve searched for answers but have never found anything.
Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.6), Duo Processor

Did you setup your phone for automatic time synching with the carrier?
Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically > ON

Did anyone ever figure this problem out? I have four iPhone’s in the family, and one of them (a 3G) is slow four minutes. Apple support on the phone is useless for this. They insist that we don’t have the «Set Automatically» switched to «ON» — no — this is a software glitch I assume. I’ve tried everything I can think of, including a complete restore of the phone — and nothing works.
So, as we should I searched out the problem here, and found this thread from a while ago.

Hello again everyone.
I originally started this post and have some more information to pass along.
To answer a few questions above.
YES, my iphone’s Date & Time setting- was set to «Set Automatically»: This would produce the wrong time. I eventually set it to manual and set the correct time myself. This would at least keep the correct time.
My iphone started to develop more issues after I had created the original post. Mainly these following two issues:
1. Bright Green pixels that would appear on my screen in the same location everytime but only occasionally
2. My home button stopped working correctly. I would have to push it multiple times in order for it to work. Or push it very firmly.
I took my iPhone into an apple store and they replaced it. No hassle. I have a new iPHone of the same model. Which is an iPHone 3G (not a 3Gs as I posted early. sorry my typo)
My wife has a 3Gs and she just informed me today that her clock is about 5 minutes off now. UGH. however my new 3G is keeping time just fine.
We are going to keep a close eye on her phone to see if it starts developing any of the issues my previous iPhone 3G had.
If any of this helps great. If anyone finds any solutions to the slow clock issue please let me know.
