Go to the Apps icon and open it. The trailers app is available there. In my case, it and three other apps were already listed as having been previously «purchased.» I simply downloaded them to the TV4.

i am in Hong Kong and the app is not in the hong kong app store.
That;s probably the problem then. I’m in the US. Trailers, Netflix, HBOGo, and Speed Test were all listed as being previously «Purchased» as I already had them installed on other mobile devices. So it looks as if App Store purchases a being carried over to the TV if/as they are being ported for the new device.

Confirming that the Movie Trailers app can’t be found in Canada on the Apple TV 4th Gen (unlike on the previous Apple TVs). Can anyone recommend another app with similar functionality until Apple decides to relese the Trailers app outside of the US App store?

This could be a case of Apple having to reacquire rights for the new movie trailers app outside of the USA. Yeah its dumb but wouldn’t be surprising. This happens all the time with international rights for music and video content.

I suspect you are correct. Seems strange, though, considering the previous generation Apple TV offers a Trailers app in Canada by default. It even offers some different trailers than the US region, and correctly shows the top movies for Canada. Guess I’ll just have to wait.

I can confirm that UK users no longer have the Trailer app either. A real shame, it was one of the apps I used a lot on my Gen 3 ATV

Can confirm that there is no Trailers app in Sweden either. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon.

Same for Switzerland! Can’t understand this as the trailers have been there since the days of the first Apple TV — a real shame and I hope Apple solves this issue very very soon! So far. For me. It takes off some of the shine off what could be a great little machine. So please Apple, do something to make us all happy!!

Same issue here in Sweden. i had it on my Apple TV 3 but it’s not available on Apple TV 4

Unless you’re in the US, there is no Trailers — app or otherwise. Surprised at Apple, releasing a product before it’s finished. Very surprised indeed. Tags: FCP X, Maps.

Same issue for Denmark — no Moive Trailer app. and Siri do not speak danish either — she does on iPhone. 😕

Seems to be gone for international users.
There is a Apple trailers section to the new Plex app.
