A real life crime story where you play detective.

** Winner of 3 Bafta Awards, 2 IGF Awards, 3 GDC Awards, Best Narrative & Best Performance at The Game Awards 2015, The Grand Jury Award at IndieCade, Polygon’s Game of the Year, SXSW Mobile Game of the Year, Webby Award for Best Mobile Game, 5 IMGA Awards and more! **

«Her Story is one of the most entrancing experiences you can hope to find on mobile»
9/10, Pocket Gamer

«It’s a murder case where you’re in the detective’s chair, a mystery where you make the running, and an engrossing experience from start to finish. With this we should consign the term “interactive movie” to history’s dustbin, because movies can’t dream of offering audiences a narrative structure as intimate and involving as this: they’re just moving pictures. Her Story points to the future» 5/5, The Guardian

Her Story is the critically acclaimed mystery game from Sam Barlow. Playing like an interactive true crime documentary, the game lets you go hands on with a police database full of live action video footage. It stars Viva Seifert, actress and one half of the band Joe Gideon and the Shark.

How does it work?

Her Story sits you in front of a mothballed desktop computer and logs you into a police database. Search through hundreds of video clips that cover seven interviews from 1994 in which a British woman is interviewed about her missing husband. Explore the database by typing search terms, watch the clips where she speaks those words and piece together her story.

«Her Story is a beautiful amalgam of the cinema and video game formats. a remarkable achievement. » 90, The Washington Post

«Profound, gripping live-action drama… sure to be discussed for years to come» 5/5, Digital Spy

Unlike anything you’ve played before, Her Story is an involving and moving experience. One that asks you to listen.

• Your To-Dos
Your basic building block is the almighty To-Do—each a small step toward a great accomplishment. You can add notes, tag it, schedule it, and break it down into smaller steps.

• Your Projects
Create a Project for any big goal, then add the to-dos to reach it. Use headings to structure your list as you outline your plan. There’s also a place to jot down your notes, and a deadline to keep you on schedule.

• Your Areas
Create an Area for each sphere of your life, such as Work, Family, Finance, and so on. This keeps everything neatly organized, and helps you see the big picture as you set your plans in motion.

• Your Plan
Everything on your schedule is neatly laid out in the Today and Upcoming lists, which show your to-dos and calendar events. Each morning, see what you planned for Today and decide what you want to do. The rest is down to you 🙂

MORE THINGS TO LOVE

As you dive deeper, you’ll find Things packed with helpful features. Here are just a few:

• Reminders — set a time and Things will remind you.
• Repeaters — automatically repeat to-dos on a schedule you set.
• This Evening — a special place for your evening plans.
• Calendar integration — see your events and to-dos together.
• Tags — categorize your to-dos and quickly filter lists.
• Quick Find — instantly find to-dos or switch between lists.

• Widgets — see your lists on the home screen.
• Mail to Things — forward an email to Things; now it’s a to-do.
• And much more!

MADE FOR IPHONE

Things is tailored to the iPhone with deep system integrations as well. A great example is the Share extension, which allows you to create to-dos with content from other apps, such as a link to a website you want to get back to.

You can also enjoy a beautiful dark mode at sunset, connect your calendars, add widgets to your home screen, create to-dos via Siri, import from Reminders—Things can do it all! There’s even Shortcuts integration if you want to automate your workflows.

MADE FOR APPLE WATCH

Things comes with a great app for Apple Watch. Just raise your wrist to glance at your Today list, mark to-dos complete as you go, and dictate new ones on the fly—all synced instantly with your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Made in Stuttgart, with two Apple Design Awards to its name, Things is a fine example of German engineering: designed not only to look fantastic, but to be perfectly functional as well. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, then polished to perfection.

“It’s like the unicorn of productivity tools: deep enough for serious work, surprisingly easy to use, and gorgeous enough to enjoy staring at.”
—Apple

• Fixed a bug where setting a reminder on a to-do in Today could unintentionally cause it to appear in This Evening if it was in This Evening on a prior day.
• Fixed a bug where it could be impossible to set a reminder on a to-do that appeared in Today because of a deadline and still has its yellow “new in Today” dot.
• Fixed a bug where tags could be erroneously added to to-dos when reordering or dragging them into tag-filtered lists.
• Fixed a bug where drag & drop feedback would be misleading when dragging items into a list that is filtering out to-dos.
• Fixed a bug where the order of Upcoming items could be incorrect in Tag lists, Contact lists, and search results.
• Fixed a bug where, when pasting multiple lines of text into a project’s title, the extra lines wouldn’t cascade into the notes field.
• Fixed a bug where, when pasting multiple lines of text into a project’s title, the extra lines weren’t stripped out.

This update accompanied our big 3.15 update for Mac, bringing universal support for Apple Shortcuts – plus wide-reaching performance improvements, support for international keyboard layouts, and more.

Things for Mac now integrates with Apple’s Shortcuts app! It works just like it does on your iPhone and iPad, so any shortcuts you create will simply work on your Mac as well. (Requires macOS 12 Monterey.)

MAJOR PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

Over the past months we’ve put a ton of work into improving performance. This involved a massive unification of Mac & iOS code and a redefinition of how lists operate under the hood. The resulting speed boost will be most noticeable for those with very large databases and many projects, but the app will be generally snappier for everyone.

There were also a few situations where Things would behave differently on Mac & iOS. As an added benefit, our work on code unification eliminates such quirks, providing a more consistent experience across devices.

INTERNATIONAL KEYBOARD SUPPORT (iPad & Mac)

With the release of iPadOS 15 and macOS 12 Monterey, keyboard shortcuts can adapt to your specific keyboard layout. Apple’s own apps have adopted this behavior on iPad and Mac, and we’ve now built it into Things.

If you have a US keyboard, your shortcuts won’t change. On non-US layouts, shortcuts involving letters will mostly stay the same. Shortcuts involving special characters will now be easier to type, and some that were previously impossible to use can now be typed for the first time!

To see the new shortcuts for your keyboard layout:
• On iPad, hold down the Cmd key.
• On Mac, simply browse the app’s menu or go to Help > Keyboard Shortcuts.

Description

Your Personal Assistant for Relationships

Between busy schedules and long days, expressing love can sometimes fall by the wayside. We forget to give gifts “just because,” offer compliments, or linger in our embraces. The things that say “I love you” seem to either not get said or not get through. As a result, our relationships can easily erode and the spark can fade.

Love Nudge is a fun, habit-forming app that helps you intentionally express love in ways that are most meaningful to your partner. Designed for real-life connection, Love Nudge takes the concepts of Dr. Gary Chapman’s #1 New York Times best-seller The 5 Love Languages® to the next level. You and your loved one can learn each other’s love languages, exchange encouraging and playful nudges, set and track activity goals, and monitor the levels of each other’s love tanks for better communication and intimacy. It’s like having a personal assistant… for your relationship.

The 5 Love Languages® by Dr. Gary Chapman has helped millions of couples strengthen their relationships… one language at a time. For almost two decades, The 5 Love Languages® has stood unrivaled as a top resource for love and relationships.

NOTE: Love Nudge relies on a consistent internet connection. If you’re not connected when you launch the app, or if you disconnect while you’re using the app, Love Nudge will not perform as it should.

Practical, effective tool for marriage

For anyone who knows anything about the 5 love languages, this is such a practical, effective resource to use to apply them in your everyday life. As I’m sure many women can relate, a lot of times I expect my husband to know what I need it how I’m feeling without me telling him, but when he’s not intuitive to that and doesn’t act or do what I’m expecting, I’m left disappointed over something I never expressed a need for. I admit it’s confusing and makes things frustrating but often I’m too prideful to admit what I need because I don’t want to appear needY A tool like this allows him (and vice versa) to have an idea of how I need to be loved, how much I’m feeling loved at the moment, and practical ways to apply it along with goals to reach. If you don’t speak or have the same love language as your partner, use this. Highly effective, and is an everyday part of our marriage.
Side note: when using the love tank feature, don’t take it personally if the other person’s meter goes down. It’s not a personal attack on you, it’s not a passive aggressive note from your spouse (or at least don’t use it that way), it’s simply a way to gauge where they’re at in feeling loved. Let it be an objective way to have insight on them and you. It can really be a great thing. don’t get hurt if it goes down. Just take it as a fun prod to like inwardly and say “How can I make it go back up or even to 100? How can I fill their love tank?”

Making it work for me

Developers for some reason I can’t turn off the reminders for goals I have mastered. I have tried in the edit goal screen and the reminders keep popping up.

We don’t use the love tank or texting feature. Everytime my husband complains about something I do or don’t do I add it to the list of goals. I just pick the same icon for all of them. Too much work looking for something that fits. I wish you could put more than 40 characters in the goal. I also would like to be able to remove reminders. I decided that since I am looking at it daily or about every other day I really only need one reminder and I can look through all of my list at that time. Also I have changed many of my bad habits so some tasks are now automatic and so I don’t need the reminder right now but I don’t want to forget that I have improved or that at one time it was a trigger or an issue so I don’t want to just delete the goal or the app. This part of the app has helped me take a good look at myself and fix myself and it has helped me focus on rebuilding our love tank whether by avoiding annoying behaviors that I don’t want anyway or by developing healthy habits and by doing more of what builds my husbands love tank

App has a serious flaw

I love the 5 Languages series. I have read them all and have taught some classes based on them. But the Love Tank meter has a serious flaw—you can’t update your love tank level unless you change the percentage. My wife and I have been in a new and incredible season of our love life together. When I first opened the app my love tank was 100% full and hasn’t diminished in the seven days since. I would love to be able to update the app do my amazing and wonderful wife could know that she has kept my love tank at overflowing for so many days in a row, but the only way I can accomplish an update would be to artificially lower the number from 100% and that would likely crush her. She has always had such a hard time speaking my love language(s) but lately she has been doing such an incredible job and I can’t use this one possible method to encourage her to keep pressing forward. She deserves the kudos and I really want her to gain the confidence she deserves from knowing my love tank has remained at an overflowing state for so many days in a row.

Developer Response ,

Hi john_donahue — 100% full for many days in a row is fantastic! You will be the envy of anyone who reads your review. We’re glad to hear that The 5 Love Languages has been helpful for your relationship, and we’re grateful for your feedback.

We listened! Version 3.10 of the app will be released this week and includes a fix for the issue you identified.

Thanks again for your helpful feedback. We hope to hear from you again!
