iPhone Screenshots
Description
Detect the musical key of any tune whether in the studio or on the go. Instantly share and sync the musical key with your Auto-Tune session running on your computer DAW.
Auto-Key detects the key by capturing a few seconds of audio and returns the most likely musical key. It also returns the diatonic key.
You can use Auto-Key mobile on any audio coming from a speaker or from an acoustic instrument or a voice. Tap on the Auto-Key logo in the app home screen to find the key.
Auto-Key Mobile was developed by Antares Audio Technologies, the inventors of Auto-Tune®.

Not always right
I love this app, the idea of an auto-key finding app, and how you can integrate it with Auto-Tune. But, it isn’t always right. I played it over a track I made (B♭M/Gm) and it recognized it as E♭M/Cm. I started over at least 10 different times, and only one of those times it was correct. Makes me wonder how accurate it is on tracks that I didn’t make, or tracks that I’m mixing for somebody. The first chord is literally B♭ Major, and there is no A♭ in the song whatsoever. So I’m not sure how it got it wrong. I know this is a new app, I’m sure this may be fixed soon.

I desperately need an update for your previous “Auto-Tune mobile app”!!
I use Auto-Tune mobile to make music but an updated version of garageband causes the auto tune to be pitched up roughly 50 cents and is unbearable. I have to use an old ipad to create music at this point. It was worth the money and the best Auto-Tune app i have ever installed but i am quite dissatisfied with this mishap and hope it will be fixed soon. Thank you so much!! 😄

Key Codes 4+
Many Tricks
Screenshots
Description
Key Codes is a little utility that displays the key code, unicode value, and modifier keys state for any key combination you press. If you’re a developer, this might be useful to you.
What’s New
Made the app icon a Big-Sur-style rounded rectangle that also happens to resemble a keyboard key. That’s the only change, so if you don’t like rounded rectangle icons, you can safely skip this update.

Solved a maddening macOS puzzle
This helped me discover that when macOS system preferences remap a modifier key to Option, it actually remaps to Right-Option, not Left-Option.
This resolved some frustrating behavior when using Parallels, as for some reason Alt Tab was misbehaving. it’s because Apple had me unwittingly sending Right-Alt Tab, which changes the behavior of the task switcher. I just had to add a registry hack to remap Right-Alt as Left-Alt to make Windows work properly again.
I’d still be pulling my hair out and trying to figure out what was wrong if not for this free tool. Thank you so much!
Many Tricks Does Great Stuff.
I just discovered these folks as a company and they are both good and serious (no junk, but sometimes a little fun tossed in). I am trying their apps now (an option if you go to their website) and their apps are great (so far). Just discovered they are also on the App Store, so I came here to write a review.
They only need to improve the abiltiy to understand all the features of their apps. Every app should have a modest but decent manual, perhaps along with some good brief videos, that explain (not just show) what the apps can do. FAQs are not a substitute for a manual.
Simple app that works well
This is a simple app, but I consider it a «must have» if you’re trying to determine what is going on with baffling keyboard issues.

Dosen’t work very well
It likes to grab onto whatever chord is playing at the moment rather than listing for a period of time and determining the key. It’ll lock in for a few seconds, some times.
Great App after I learned how to configure
I have owned this for a long time, and rely on it to find keys to songs I want to learn to play.
The best way to get highly precise readings on this app is to be sure your settings are configured correctly. I recommend going the settings tab and turning off all scales except «major». If you do this, most songs will pop up correctly and stay the same during the entire song.
HOWEVER, if you have an ability to hear and recognize minor keys, and you are testing a song that you suspect may be in a minor key — turn off the «major» scale and turn on the «melodic minor» scale and give it a try. Also if you know how to recognize a blues tune, you may get good results from setting the scales to «major and minor pentatonic.»
If you just turn on all scales, the display is going to show multiple options at any given point during a song. It may also be worth noting that some scales are essentially the same but with a different starting place (ie G major Em) so if you have a bit of music theory to help you you will enjoy the app more.
Piece of crap
Doesn’t work. And if there’s something I’m doing wrong there’s nothing to help me. Do not waste your money like I did.
