Hi guys, I created this module to replace the default system android emoji with iOS 14 Emoji. This module will also replace default Facebook and Messenger Emoji with iOS14.2, 14.5, & 14.6 , it also works with every apps, including Instagram, Twitter, etc. Basically everything will be changed to iOS 14 emoji when you install this module.

[ROOT]
1. Download the iOS14.2 Emoji Magisk Module, (download it below).
2. Flash the module to Magisk Manager app
3. Click reboot, it will restart your phone.
4. Open Messenger, Instagram, Facebook or any other app. It will change everything to iOS 14 Emoji.
5. Done!

— If you want to use your old android Emojis just clear your FB and Messenger data and uninstall the module from magisk.

— For Samsung Devices, please download the [Samsung] module below.

NOT WORKING with WhatsApp

Currently working with Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, Viber, and apps that uses the system/fonts emoji.

Added Module for Samsung Devices

v1.2: Nothing really changed just updated some texts.

[READ IF NOT WORKING]

v1.3: Updated some permissions.

Updated the v1.3, updated permissions, fixed problems with permissions.

[Guide] Using iOS-Style Emojis on Android N Developer Preview

esthornhill

Member

Good morning all,

Before getting a Nexus 6P around a week ago, I had been using an app called «Emoji Switcher (root)» to use the iOS-styled emojis in conjunction with Google Keyboard. I prefer to use this emoji style, despite Google’s updates, because many of my friends and family use iPhones, and I like to make sure we are conveying the same message as emojis are a very visual language.

I was looking to replicate this on the Developer Preview of Android N, and after a great deal of headache going through many incompatible apps and methods, I have figured it out and would like to spare anyone else who is interested the headache. Many root file explorers will not allow you to modify the system .tff file that controls the emojis across the device, so I had to get old school with it.

I first downloaded a .tff file from the thread below that includes all of the iOS emojis through Unicode 9 as well as the Unicode 10 candidates that those of us on Android N have on their keyboards currently. Download and unzip the attachment «iOS_unicode9_emojis_Mr.Yawnie.zip.» You do not need any of the modified keyboards if you are on Android N! Within this container is the file «NotoColorEmoji.tff.» This is the same name as the file we will be replacing, just keep it in your downloads folder for now.

Next, you will need to reboot into TWRP and mount the system partition. When your system is mounted return to the TWRP home screen, go to «Advanced,» and then «File Manager.»

Within the File Manager navigate to the root folder —> System —> Fonts, and scroll down until you see the file «NotoColorEmoji.tff.» This is the standard emoji font that Android pulls for your keyboards, incoming messages, etc. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE. Simply rename the file to «NotoColorEmojiOld.tff» (Or whatever you would like to call it) and LEAVE IT IN THE FONTS FOLDER.

Now, still within the TWRP file manager, navigate back to your downloads folder where you unzipped the «NotoColorEmoji.tff» file that we downloaded earlier. Simply copy this file into the / —> System —> Fonts folder we were just in. It will not overwrite anything since we renamed the original file.

Unmount the system partition and reboot your Nexus. Your emoji should all be updated and replaced with iOS-style emoji! These emoji are working on the stock keyboard for me, and I imagine that since they replaced the system font they should work with any custom keyboards you may be using.

If you wish to revert, simply reboot into TWRP, mount system, go back into the Fonts folder, delete the «NotoColorEmoji.tff» file that we added in, and then RENAME «NotoColorEmojiOld.tff» to «NotoColorEmoji.tff.» You can potentially get your phone into a bootloop if you do not do this step!!

Credits and thank you to @Mr.Yawnie for the wonderful emoji .tff, and thank you to @D_Steve595 for the Emoji Switcher (root) app that I would typically use and have enjoyed so much.

Please go easy on my forum skills as this is my first post on XDA. I will answer and questions as well as I can. I am excited to repay this amazing community with some knowledge of my own!

[MOD] Google Keyboard with updated iOS 9.1 Emojis

Qu3ntin0

Senior Member

Please make a backup of the apk and /system/fonts/NotoColorEmoji.ttf before following the instructions.

Note: Not all of the emojis present in iOS 9.1 are currently supported.

1. Download the ttf file and install manually or download the flashable zip (Be sure to rename AppleEmoji9.1-caiosilva96.tff to NotoColorEmoji.tff)

2. Install the modded Google Keyboard.

Q/A
Q: Why are some emojis black & white?
A: Here’s the solution and if you’re on Lollipop you can download this flashable zip.

Q: My Google Keyboard is a system app and I can’t install the mod.
A: Uninstall the app (with an app such as Titanium Backup) and install the mod

Q: Gesture typing and/or autocorrect is broken after installing the mod.
A: I’m still working on a fix for this, but for now switching the keyboard language to English (UK) will fix the problem.

Q: Whenever I delete some emojis, a different one appears, so I have to press backspace twice to delete.
A: This is because the emoji requires two unicode values. Sometimes when backspace is pressed, one of the unicode value is deleted, not both. I’m not sure why this happens, hopefully someone will come along and help solve the mystery.

Changelog
29/10/2015
— Added secondary keys, flags and numerical symbols (1, 2, 3 etc.)

Detailed Guide How To See Emoji On Android

hristopelov

Senior Member

As hardcore Storm8 games player, I always wanted to be able to see the iPhone emoji in the names or posts on peoples walls on my Android, I decided to create this detailed guide of how to enable emoji on Android phones.

First things first, do no proceed if you are not comfortable with the next few paragraphs below that are in caps:

1. YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING! THIS IS NOT A GUIDE OF “HOW TO ROOT MY DROID” OR “HOW TO MOVE FILES FROM PC TO PHONE”

Читайте также:  Речевые движки для android

2. YOUR PHONE NEEDS TO BE ROOTED!

3. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE NOT FOLLOWING THE GUIDE, OR DELETING SOMETHING BY MISTAKE!

4. THE EMOJI WONT BE IN COLOR! THEY WILL BE THE SAME COLOR AS THE LETTERS IN GAME! REGARDLESS YOU WILL SEE 90% OF ALL THEM!

Ok, you still here? Here you go then:

You will need to download 2 applications, and 4 font files; I have uploaded all those below, you can DW them directly from your Android phone, and have them in your download folder, or DW to your PC and move them to a folder on your SD card of the phone via USB cable or Bluetooth:

Root Explorer.apk 204.9KB PAID APP.

Do NOT change any of the names of the downloaded font files! If you
do, it won’t work out, and you might mess something even more.

So to make things clear, at this step, you have all those 4 font
files, and 2 apps files on your ROOTED Android phone.

Now to start the process. pay attention carefully and do it step by step:

1. Install both of those applications that you downloaded.
2. Open “Font Changer” app once, we need that so the app create a folder named “.fontchanger” on your phone SD card
3. Close the “Font Changer” app
4. Open “Root Explorer” app (all next steps until we close the app in step 13 are performed in it)
5. Navigate to the folder with the 4 font files.
6. Find “EmojiFont.tff” file and copy it.
7. Navigate to the “.fontchanger” folder, open it, and paste the file inside.
8. Go back to the 4 font files folder and select “DroidSansArabic.tff” file and copy it.
9. Now you need to navigate out of the SD card to the phone main directory where the system files are, find folder named “system”-open it, in there find folder name “fonts”-open it.
10. You will notice on the top of the app says “Mounted as RO” and a button that says “Month R/W” press that button (that is to get permission to write in that folder, should be just once, but if you go back to the folder after and is “Mounted as RO, change it again by pressing the “Mount R/W” button)
11. Now paste that font, if you ask you to replace the existing one, choose “YES” offcourse, it might just replace it without asking.
12. Now you need to go back to the 4 fonts folder on your SD card, and repeat step 8-11 with the other 2 fonts left – “DroidSansFallback.tff” and “DroidSansHebrew.tff”, one by one, copy, go to “system” in there to “fonts”, make sure you are “Mounted R/W” on the top of the app, and paste.
13. Once you are done doing this with the 3 “Droid” fonts, go ahead and close the “Root Explorer” app
14. Open “Font Changer” app, if you properly placed the “EmojiFont.tff” in the “.fontchanger” folder in step 7, it will show it in there.
15. Highlight the “EmojiFont” and run it, the app will install it, will ask for reboot, go ahead and reboot the phone.
16. Guess what? That’s It

I tried to make this as simple as possible for you folks, good luck and if it does work, a thanks is more than enough!

155*155 works great on MIUI12.

Still no way to get them in Gboard though.

If you are rooted, check https://watweaker.com/
Root in enough for changing WA emojis via this tools, no need for xposed.

BTW it’s kind of hack so it can have it’s own risks, proceed with caution.
