Why does it have the be the same button to lock, unlock?
“Touch to unlock, long press to lock”

Why can’t there be one for lock and one for unlock? I end up doing the wrong action 90% of the time thus taking way more time than it should. This seems like an easy fix.

Functional but could be improved

Pros:
— Works with my new smart lock
— I’m able to add all the access methods: keycards, passcodes, fingerprints
— I’m able to add family members to manage
— I’m able to share app keys

Cons:
— The app doesn’t appear to show me if the lock is locked or unlocked
— Without seeing the status, that makes the app/widget button unclear if tapping will lock or unlock the lock
— Once the first of each access type is added, it’s more difficult to know how to add more of them
— Sometimes changing an option will clear the entry fields for a form
— It’s difficult to understand how to generate a custom passcode. Auto-generation is clearly easier to make but much harder for people to remember.
— Requiring all key holders to create an account password could stop many people from accepting to retaining access to keys.

IOS 15 apple watch

Noticed my Apple Watch wasn’t getting a button icon probably due to the new iOS 15 Beta update. I mentioned via email thru the app and had a very helpful and friendly tech assist me in troubleshooting the problem. When it became apparent it wasn’t going to work they went to work and updated their app. Now everything works well. They showed me they care.
