Question: Q: Iphone 5s resets (bug type 115) and cores (bug type 110)
My wife’s iPhone 5s resets with bug type 115 and sometimes cores/blue screens with bug type 110. It will do this for a week (6-10 times a day) then it will be stable for a week. When crashing it gets progressively worse, going black and unresponsive, getting warm and running the battery down to nil. I have restored the it twice and recovered the data from iCloud. This has been happening since late Jan, early Feb. It is running 8.3,but the problem occurred with 8.1,8.2. The warming and battery drops make me think a process is looping and after one of these events, it becomes stable for a time. It will also brick and go completely unresponsive for a time. It is about 18 months old and shouldn’t be a piece of junk! I have suspected my wifi, since my macbook air needs to have the wifi stopped and started frequently and wonder if it is driving the iPhone bonkers. Is it something in the phones environment (wifi etc.) affecting the software or is it hardware?

Question: Q: Bug type 115 on Ipad
I have about 2 months with this issue, and start happening after I update my IOS to versión 7.1.1
If I stop using my IPad, even just blocking the screen or turning off the device, it is impossible to turn on again the device, the screen stays black and only after 3 days respond only if I connect the device to the energy
When finally I turn it on, I check the diagnostic and have a reset counter with this information:
Incident Identifier: A5742C18-153C-4606-A378-491BC0E4B944
CrashReporter Key: 52dad7ab8ff745db54dd32bc8116d26405b7f89a
Date: 2014-06-01 16:28:30 -0600
Boot failure count: 1
Boot faults: rst vdd_under
Boot app: 2681261667
It is very weird because I can use the iPad for many hours without problem, but If I just block the screen then no respond again.
I already went to the Geniuos bar and they couldnt find the issue, even restarting the device to the original settings still having the problem! They discard issue a with the battery, And of course they propose to change the device for a new one paying «only» 300 usd + taxes.
Please if somebody can help me to fix this!

I am having the same problem with my iPad 2 (WiFi, 64GB) after updating to IOS 7.1.1.
The screen turns black 10-20 times a day and I have to hard reset it every time to get it working again.
Bug types: 110 and 115.
I tried to factory reset the unit without luck — I am still having the same error.
hoping for a quick fix.

No — I havent jailbroken my iPad 2.

Here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it’s quick, easy and harmless.
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the «Slide to power off» text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn’t work, try a Restore. Note that it’s nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say «yes» to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say «yes.»
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say «yes.» Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple — choose manual «Sync» from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you’re unable to do the Restore (or it doesn’t help), g o into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

Using iphone 5 and with iOS 8 (currently 8.1.1) experiencing the very same problem.
The phone crashes when in «standby» mode, i.e. after I pressed the on/off button and the screen goes black. The phone does this every 15 or so minutes ⚠. I read about this problem and i don’t think it’s hardware, it is something in the OS.
The phone is original, factory unlocked, and have never been jailbroken or never had beta OS on it. With iOS 6 or 7 it worked fine.
The phone is about 16 months old, so the warranty is over now.
I have extensively tested the phone whether any app casues this malfunction (I do have only the minimum apps, standard ones and some like facebook, youtube, etc., no extra games, nothing), but a restore as new phone and WITHOUT installing any apps causes the same problem.
I was using ihpones for years and I’m really upset with this.
Considering changing to anything else. I know the potential issues with android or windows but this is more than I can handle with this phone. Also, the one year warranty is ridiculous, all other phones in my family came with 2+1 year warranties.
It is sad that Apple can’t handle this issue, I have friends experiencing the same problem.

Question: Q: since update to IOS 9 — «bug_type»:»210″ | «bug_type»:»115″
since update to IOS on my iPhone 5s I keep getting a blue screen and a reset.
It’s just annoying. The telephone support could not help. Said the device is in absolutely flawless condition.
Several times the unit has been restored and there was no app installed only the iphone standard apps.
On the internet I could not find anything to fault bug_type 210
bug_type 115 has been carried out according to instructions from the support with the restoration, but the error still comes.

I have similar issue. I disabled calendars under mail accounts and for the last 4 days it has been stable.

This problem seems to be occurring because of software issue ( bug_types refer to pointer problem and arithmetic problem — bottom line, this bug is because of some bad code)

Update: After 4 days of stability, my 5S got into blue screen of death again on 5th day. ( I did few App updates on 5th day — 😕)
Sep 30, 2015 4:35 PM
The fault/error/bug also exists on my phone. I have contacted several times the support and so far they had no solution!
I will probably send it to Apple. I’m going to buy a new smartphone. And it will not be an iPhone. SICK OF IT. 😠

have you tested the new update 9.0.2? If so, you had success?
Oct 2, 2015 1:58 AM
Update : I have updated my iphone 5s to 9.0.2 and it works like a gem no core issues. Looks like this Issue has been fixed.🙂

I have iPhone 5S with the same issue — iPhone reboots every time after screen timeout (bug_type 210).
I am using media player with volume = 0, then iPhone works fine. But the battery quickly discharged.
And this doesn’t reproduce when I am charging my iPhone.
I think this is hardware issue of mainboard, because I replaced all details such as battery, display, camera, buttons and etc.
Also I did a full reset — it did not solve my problem.

i have same issue on 10.3.3 . any idea why it occurs?
Aug 28, 2017 11:32 PM
it is also in 10.2 as my 5s has both 115 and 210 i get around it by loading ‘system status’ an app from appstore that has a uptime function and kill any other switcher apps then i hit the sleep button and wait 7-10 min undisturbed. afterwards all works well and can last days without issue.
out of curiosity anyone have issues with batt usage stats being blank reguarding individual apps drain %? my usage and standby as well as battery widget/sb work accurately and without issue (+/- 5% )

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you are having an issue with your iPhone X.
It sounds like you discovered the information you provided about the error code from the iPhone analytics, which is discussed in this article: Share analytics, diagnostics, and usage information with Apple. If this is correct, that’s information which is collected anonymously to help improve Apple products and services.
To be able to provide you with the best support, message back with the following information:
- What happened with your iPhone which caused you to look for analytics data?
- Do you recall what you were doing before it occurred? Be sure to include any apps you may have been using?
- Have you tried restarting your phone? Here is how you can do that: Restart your iPhone.

This is a new iPhone. I bought it on 13 January 2020 and I have installed my profile from my old iPhone 6s. Until now there are every day from 9 to 20 resets without any reason. I already reset it two times to it’s fabric settings but it didn’t helped. I have already contact Apple several times and they answered that this telephone is advertisement model and it should not be sale to any one. In one way or another it has been sold to me and now I am a victim of fraud. Could you tell us this a hardware problem or it’s a software one?
Jan 18, 2020 12:14 AM
No it didn’t help. It became even worse yesterday. The screen stopped reacting voor half an hour. After that it reset again it self and I made total Reset Counter with iTunes. There are also a lot of panic-full codes together with Reset Counter.
