If you can’t change the time or time zone on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
You can use Date & Time settings to have your device adjust automatically for time zone changes and daylight saving time. If you see the wrong date, time, or time zone on your device, or if it doesn’t automatically adjust for daylight saving time, learn what to do.
Check your settings
See if you still need help after each step:
- Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
- Turn on Set Automatically 1 in Settings > General > Date & Time. This automatically sets your date and time based on your time zone. If there’s an available time zone update, your device lets you know.
- Allow your device to use its current location to determine the correct time zone. To do this, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services and select Setting Time Zone.
- Check that your device shows the correct time zone in Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
If you still need help
If your device still shows an incorrect date, time, or time zone, 2 change each setting instead of using Set Automatically. For example, you might have iOS 9 or earlier, and your country or region, or government changes the time zone or the observance of daylight saving time. If so, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
- Turn off Set Automatically.
- Now you can change the time zone or the date and time: 3
- Tap Time Zone and enter a city with the time zone that you need. (Not sure which city to enter? Use the time zone map on timeanddate.com to find a city with a time zone that matches your needs.)
- Or tap the date to change the date and time.
1. The option to turn on Set Automatically might not be available with all carriers or in all countries and regions. If the device has a Screen Time passcode, then the option to turn on Set Automatically will be dimmed, or grayed out.
2. If the time on your device is wrong after you sync it with your computer, your computer’s time might be wrong. Check the time on your computer in System Preferences > Date & Time. You might want to select «Set date and time automatically.»
3. Manual adjustments to time settings to change app behavior (like game timers) aren’t recommended.

Locations are minimal
Since the only way to list a location is through their picker from their list this app doesn’t work for me. If I could simply edit the text not having to tie it to a real list then it would be useful.
Dev replied asking if two stars is harsh. The app doesn’t function for me because there’s too few locations. Should I give a non functional app four stars? That makes your product usable by only a select few, and maybe if you listed that people wouldn’t bother downloading in the first place. Fix that and then we’ll talk.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for your input. Adding an alias for locations is something we are looking in to, however, a two-star review for this lack of functionality is harsh.
Good but could be better
App looks great and for personal use it’s great but . My girlfriend and I life a few hours drive from each other so realistically we can only see each other 1-2 time a month. We’ve been using your guys website to share countdowns with each other till our next meeting. I only just discovered the IOS app and am very happy with the superior viewing experience compared to the lest than mobile friendly website. However the app has no support for sharing countdowns. So if try try to send her a countdown I created she can only view it in a web browser. If there was a feature that would allow you to open other peoples countdowns in the app (via link) rather than manually copying it into the app it would seriously enhance the experience. I think you guys are missing out on a very marketable feature. Since the app seems to be an enhanced web browser specifically for your guys website doesn’t seem like it would be too difficult to pull off. We live in a world of social media and creating an app where you could share countdowns and share events like this would be popular. I like what you guys are doing I just think it could be better.
Best, Maxwell Owens
What can i say except.. (hint: NOT your welcome)
This app isn’t downloading for me, ok? I know it’s not the apps fault my phones being real crappy right now. But I feel that all the people giving this app 1 star, that’s just insane.
Ok, maybe that one where the feature didn’t work when they bought the features, that’s probably ok. But there was this one that talked about not being able to share when they upgraded, the developer said they didn’t advertise the feature and it doesn’t exist. This review is to balance out the reviews a bit and this is probably unnecessarily long.
Edit: no my data was just being crappy XD it downloaded eventually but thanks!
Developer Response ,
Sorry to hear that it isn’t downloading, however, that is something only Apple support can help you with. Thank you for your attempt to balance the negative reviews — we appreciate getting good feedback too.

Doesn’t include all functionality of website
This app is really nicely done, but, it’s missing things like “weekday only” calculations and other niceties that’s on their completely free website.
Hope they can add those features, which would make this, easily, a 5-Star app.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for your review. We plan to expand the app with more calculators if the app proves to be a success.
Missing Too Many Functions
For context: I use the app creator’s website frequently, and I love the depth of functionality. This is basically the website’s “Time Duration Calculator” page and “Date Calculator” page, minus significant functionality. That is why this app is so disappointing.
There is no way to exclude important days, and choose purposeful data sections. For example, you cannot filter for only business days (i.e. no business days or holidays), only weekdays, or exclude holidays. Additionally, the extra choices in settings, which have slider toggles, are completely non-functional. I spent a silly amount of time attempting to click, slide, restart the app, restart my phone, and otherwise engage the other optional choices (with no avail). I paid the $2.99 to remove ads right off the bat, because of how much I love the website. I wish I hadn’t, since the app isn’t usable to me as is.
Given the app creators, I hope that those additional functions will eventually be added. I also wish this was a true Time AND Date calculator. I wish you were able to calculate things like total hours between X and Y time (without arbitrarily adding a date), add or subject increments of time, and add/subtract time via an expression, as they have on their website’s “Time Calculator” page. Hopefully in the future.
Nice app
I used the website a lot at work. I decided to see if they had an app. I was happy to see it existed. While the app does not have everything the website has, it does a great job for what I need. I now use the app rather than the website. There are adds, but they are unobtrusive. I use this app enough I felt the developers deserved the nominal amount they were asking to purchase it.

Second hands disappeared in widget after update?
I like this app, been using it a while and just noticed that both the widget’s analog and digital seconds are gone after the update, can you please fix? I’m actually relying a lot on those seconds, much appreciated
Developer Response ,
Hi, try toggling the «Show Seconds» option in settings. Thanks!
So Great!
I’ve never understood why iOS never had a way to tell what the date was, easily. Having been a Galaxy user, it’s standard at top of screen and incredibly helpful for someone like me. I’ve truly missed not having a similar function with the iPhone.
While hunting the App Store today, frustrating and cursing Apple under my breath, I found this widget. The clouds parted; the heavens opened and I swear I heard the distinct sound of angels’ voices singing!
Download; swipe right to widgets; scroll down to edit and add this fantastic app; reposition to top of widget list and VOILA! Now you have date and time anytime you swipe right on your iPhone! Thank you so much for making this! I’m tipping when I get paid!
Simple and complete
Especially now in the age of home quarantine, coming up with a date off the top of my head was getting harder. I didn’t want anything flashy or complicated. I just want to be able to see what today’s date is without having to shut my phone down and go to the lock screen. I like the design. It’s simple and easy to read. And does everything I needed to do.
The biggest problem with this app is that when I went to use the tip jar it did not work. I would like to pay this man for his work.
