Great game ., nintendo know how to make f2p
All in all it’s great , its animal crossing as for paying actual money to get stuff done without the wait in no way hinders the experience. Anyone who played previous games knows patience is part of the game and that time was used doing fishing bugs other minor tasks.
I would like one addition. Apple Watch compatible for telling you how projects are progressing and other pop up notifications, just be a nice touch is all far from required. How mobile apps should be made. Nintendo standard is second to none
Edit ; people complaining that it’s s cut back dumbed down version aren’t completely wrong, but with that said this is what it was meant to be , it’s a app to welcome newcomers and to have short blasts, I know I’ve go no interest in sinking over 500hrs into a mobile app like I did new leaf , it’s a different market , nintendo won’t release actual games on mobile platforms because that’s why the console is there, mobile is its own thing and they are making fun apps to reel in new fans and still make a decent game out of their popular ip’s , original content. And compared with most free to play games it’s not long until you can’t proceed and constant 3rd party adverts, so far nintendo hasn’t forced either
Very long review:
Hello! 😀 Personally, I love this app. I feel like it lets me be myself, and decorate my campsite however i want! I started playing Animal Crossing New leaf about 5 years ago, and as soon as i found this, I downloaded it straight away! I love the events, and how you can give your favourite animal cute little gifts, like the valentines flowers, and they even give you a present back with an adorable message! Love this feature because ngl, I give all of them to Kidd the goat (my favourite animal) The only thing I don’t really like is the leaf tickets. they’re really rare, and you need 50 of them to buy a fortune cookie, even though they just appear randomly in the shop for 5000 bells, which is super cheap, so i don’t even know why anyone would bother spending THAT much leaf tickets on one, when you can buy them really cheap at Timmy and Tommy’s fortune cookie shop (with a bit of luck that they’ll appear) I think a lot of people would play more if you cut the cookies down for about 20 or 15 leaf tickets? That seems reasonable to me. I love the recent update, how your campsite got a ton bigger! I love it because i have a lot of items for the theme i’m going for. (creepy/halloween- Im obsessed with that kind of stuff! 😁👻) I would highly recommend if you’re a big fan of Animal Crossing! (Also thanks so much to the company, for Animal Crossing: New Horizons! I just got it recently and it’s awesome! So many new features!)
Nostalgia with the down your throat buy to play cool advertising
Had this game on my Nintendo when I was young and not having a switch this is the closest I’ll get for now 😅 as a free to play the core of the game is great and pure nostalgia. However it does become quite limited rather quickly for those who don’t wish to fork out on the in game purchases that speed up the increasingly length wait times and the disturbingly pricey clothing and decor items. Sure you can get by on earned tickets and bells but the intense advertising doesn’t let you forget what you could have if you’d *only* sign up for this and that and also buy more tickets and become a club member etc etc. I do also feel the bug catching and fishing is out of balance. Catching a fish is guaranteed a every time. Which is not a problem. The big catching however is nearly impossible, maybe it’s just on older phone screens but I find my character jumps forward just at the last second and scares the bug away every time before the option to tap show up. Again, I can buy then spend tickets to catch bugs.. but where’s the fun in that?
I’d still recommend the game for sure! It’s nice to reminisce and unwind for a bit and slooooooowly progress my camp. But I do think it’d be difficult for a young child to resist wanting to spend on tickets and upgrades 🤷♀️ not to mention the hidden gambling aspect of the fortune cookies 🥠 👀

Awesome game!
First let me say that I have played plenty of Animal Crossing on Nintendo in my younger years. It’s one of my favourite games and so I was so excited to see this on the AppStore as I had been hoping that it would arrive on iPhone. And let me say i am not disappointed.
I was sceptical at first when I heard it had micro transactions included in the game and many people were complaining about it. However, once playing the game I noticed that it was not even necessary to pay for anything. It’s very simple to get coins and leaf tickets in game without paying which is why I enjoy it so much.
The game is simple and fun to use (and very addictive!) you can add friends using codes or even random peoples codes online. (For any parents out there, no, you can’t chat to anyone you add in the game) Friends are there to help u with watering or getting into certain areas.
Overall it’s a great game that u can play for hours and nothing like the other games on the AppStore ( that nearly force u to pay for “diamonds” or whatever.) DEFINITE RECOMMEND!!
Tip: connect ur game to Facebook, Twitter and Nintendo for free stuff! ( I don’t have Facebook or anything I just made a fake one lol)
I love this game so much
At this point I’m literally obsessed I’ve never found a game as good as this and it just keeps getting better ,every time I think of something that could be improved like previewing clothes/items or more space it’s been put into the game within a week but there is one other thing that I think everyone would love and that’s furniture/clothes selling for leaf tickets or trading I would love to see this in the game it would make it a million times better but besides that this game is already amazing
Very good at the start
But fortune cookies are very expensive and it’s the same with most things you buy with leaf tickets. It should be easier to obtain leaf tickets. It also takes quite a lot of MB’s. I also got tired of it after about 60 levels because you are just doing the same thing you should be able to unlock more areas. It would also be cool if you could grow trees instead of waiting for the ones on the map to become available two hours is much to long to wait. It is very fun designing the campsite and campervan but I can’t figure out how to invite animals to the cabin.
