Has potential
I recently purchased a Lexus UX and was really surprised to have some additional functionality with an app, the hybrid coaching and route info was great but I’ve seen recently that the app has been updated with a lock icon but it doesn’t do anything other than taking me to an image of my car and a tick. Disappointed that there’s no practical functionality attached to the app given the car is connected and is linked into the app I think there is so much more that could be done. I must say though the app does get updated regularly but I’d like to see some more practical functionality added so it integrates with my vehicle better. A good start but still a few things to bring to the app. Thank you Lexus

App not up to scratch
I’m a happy Lexus owner with a beautiful ES300 and my wife has an equally good RX450. However, the app just doesn’t live up to the service standard set by dealers. The latest version came out today and says the new features apply to certain models only . but it doesn’t say which ones nor, apparently, does the website! A good friend has an older Range Rover and, whilst I wouldn’t swap cars, the app is light years ahead, with numerous useful features. Lexus doesn’t help themselves in the App Store, with every comment receiving the same bland reply about thank you and please get in touch. It feels one step down from the usual call centre 30 minute wait for most companies listening to how really really important your call is to them! Lexus — you have a premium priced premium product, so the least you can do is give a personalised non robotic response. Two other gripes from a genuinely fabulous car . there’s no link from the Head Up Display to Google Maps on Apple-play, which is very frustrating, as is the need for a wired connection to use it! . and gripe 2, it needs to have a verbal command to stop the sat nav, rather than searching in the menu to pause it. Overall message — keep making great cars, but put someone new in charge of your software and app!

Appalling Customer Service
I have had my NX for a little over a year and have had constant issues with this app, mainly concerning the constant notifications telling me that I need to charge my battery. Only last month the battery was fully charged and checked at Bolton Lexus and no issues were found.I have recently do a 500 mile trip and yet I still get notifications that my battery is at critical level and needs to be charged! Messages to the app developers are totally ignored, and the local dealer offers no response to this issue. Having spent over £50,000 on a so called premium car from a so called premium brand this is not the level of service I should receive! Lexus are so keen on receiving feedback, yet completely fail to respond if you are in any way critical of them!
Update: Lexus respond to negative feedback by asking you to contact them by email giving details of your issues so they can investigate.
I did this and got no response , not even an acknowledgment!
Again I repeat appalled by the service!

Getting better.
I have to change my rating. I wasn’t a fan of the new app. Once downloaded my remote capabilities ceased to exist. I could not communicate with the vehicle. It has been at the dealer for a week trying to fix the problems. The vehicle status only reports from the last time it worked back in August. Please return to the old format. In addition I appreciated that I had to enter a passcode to use the remote features. Thank you for working with the service team to resolve the issues with my remote starter. Picked up my car yesterday and I have function again. Looking forward to the upcoming updates. Hopefully you can fix the alert notifications to let us know the issue, ease of logging on, and reliability of commands, and the tracking, I don’t want data gathered on my driving to be a contingency of my using the app. I would like a choice. Thanks again.

A truly unimpressive app; 2021 update: simply awful
2021: I traded my L-certified for a new car and the app was included. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work as described most of the time and just refuses access frequently. You’d expect better from Lexus. 2020: I bought a 2019 L-Certified car at a Lexus dealership. Lexus (Enform services) sent me an email with a non-functioning link, so I called the dealer and they told me to just download this app. I did and I still haven’t figured out what the big deal is. Instead of showing you up front some info you might want about the car status or letting you remotely interact with the car (you pay extra for actual interaction) the first thing it shows you every time you open the app is what you DON’T have and need to pay additional money for. So, if you wander around in the app until you find vehicle status and can see your car is unlocked, there’s nothing you can do about it until you pay for Remote Services. The app has no functional menu or dashboard. Good thing at least the app is free, because it is without any practical use or value. It might be if you pay $80 plus per service per year to get the full “suite” and all the accoutrements, but you shouldn’t have to. This app is little more than an advertisement for more services.

However, yes, any feature that is linked with our Lexus Enform Remote service does still require an active subscription. Overpriced, underwhelming
For $85 a year after taxes this app should do it more then regular key fobs. I know what you’re saying, regular key fobs can’t schedule appointments for service etc. but I don’t need my $85 app to schedule my appointments when I have the app on my $1100 phone that also can schedule service appointments. This app on more than one occasion has told me that it was unable to process my request while trying to start my vehicle only to go outside and find my car was running at other times it didn’t process my request I never started the car. For $85 I should be able to use the app to roll down and up my windows as well as open and close my sunroof some key fobs do that already for free. So if we’re going to charge a premium price because it’s a luxury brand then give your customers something to smile about. I would like to be able to say yeah cost me $85 a year but I can do all this with my app. hopefully someone will read this and say you know this customer has a point instead of reading it and saying yeah right good luck with that. Well I know this looks long but it’s a quick read and I hope someone reads it. I’m two years in and it’s a waste of money. thank you
