Google предложил превратить смартфон в виртуальный световой меч из «Звёздных войн» Статьи редакции

К премьере нового эпизода «Звёздных войн» компания Google запустила специальный проект «Побег со световым мечом»: игру, превращающую обычный смартфон в виртуальный меч джедаев из фантастической саги.

Незамысловатый сюжет игры имитирует одну из распространённых сцен в «Звёздных войнах»: джедай (это можно понять по цвету кристалла, использующегося в мече) перемещается по космическому кораблю, заполненному штурмовиками, и пытается сбежать. При помощи светового меча он отбивает вражеские выстрелы так, что штурмовики поражают сами себя, а под конец побега вступает в ближний бой.

Создатели игры рекомендуют держать смартфон вертикально и двумя руками — как настоящий меч, а отбивать выстрелы, перемещая его влево и вправо. В ближнем бою смартфон придётся наклонять вперёд для ударов и ставить в виде блока для защиты. Если на смартфоне включён звук, то можно услышать, как лазер меча «резонирует» с воздухом при взмахах.

Для участия в игре сначала нужно синхронизировать смартфон с компьютером. Проще всего это сделать, пройдя со смартфона по ссылке на сайт проекта, а затем введя адрес созданной специально для устройства страницы в браузере на настольном компьютере.

Устройства должны синхронизироваться автоматически, однако в первые часы запуска проекта он упал под высокой нагрузкой, а позднее синхронизация длилась очень долго. Планшеты в игре не поддерживаются, а в списке совместимых смартфонов значатся iPhone 5 и новее, Nexus 4 и новее, Samsung Galaxy S3 и новее, а также Moto G2.

На смартфонах поддерживаются только браузеры Google Chrome или Safari, а на компьютере — последние версии Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer и Edge. В Google также рекомендуют подключить оба устройства к одной сети Wi-Fi.

Это не первая подобная интерактивная игра Google. В 2009 году компания запустила проект Chrome Experiments для демонстрации возможностей мобильных и настольных браузеров в том числе при помощи мини-игр. В феврале 2015 года таких веб-приложений накопилось больше тысячи, и Google перезапустила проект, превратив его в иллюстрированный каталог.
