Файловые менеджеры являются неотъемлемой частью любой операционной системы. Каждый раз при просмотре или работе с файлами в Windows или Android, всегда есть потребность в использовании сторонних программ. Задача этих программ предоставить пользователю условия и всевозможные инструменты для быстрой и эффективной работы с файлами, поэтому и существует такая категория программ как файловые менеджеры . Какой из них лучше? Поспорим.

Да.
Давным давно юзал для того, чтобы сортировать фотки по альбомам. Сейчас есть гугл фото, которое это великолепно делает вообще без какого-либо моего участия -> на последний андройд файл менеджер не ставил.
Для меня X-plore. Использую ещё с Symbian, сейчас на Андроиде. Привык, да и функционал отличный, больше и не надо.

С 1990 года на персоналках использовал Norton Commander (NC).
Когда настала эра графических ОС (или оболочек), стал пользоваться тем файловым менеджером, который больше всего похож на NC.
Это сначала Windows Commander, а потом он же Total Commander.
Пользовался и пользуюсь им на: Windows, WM 2003-6.5, Android.
На Андроиде при помощи Total Commander даже прошивки редактирую, удаляя мусорный софт, который так любят предустанавливать производители смартфонов. (При этом Total Commander сам перемонтирует файловые системы из RO в RW).
З.Ы. В Linux всегда пользовался аналогом NC — Midnight Commander.
З.З.Ы. На КПК Psion 3c был очень похожий на NC встроенный файловый менеджер. Но, к сожалению, на Psion Revo и Psion 5mx приходилось пользоваться файл-менеджерами, похожими на нелюбимый мною Проводник.
И всегда терпеть не мог Проводник от Микрософт, появившийся, по-моему с Win-95.

На таком девайсе рекомендую поудалять весь предустановленный пропиетарный софт от Google, а все программы ставить и обновлять через *.apk файлы.
Мой второй смартфон — teXet X-Basic — с 512Мб RAM сейчас летает!
(Ну и все мусорные приложения, предустановленные производителем смартфона, разумеется, тоже должны быть удалены!)
Неудобство лично для меня состоит лишь в том, что с выпиленным пропиетарным софтом Google не работает гугловский Youtube-клиент.
Но я приспособился — пользуюсь встроенным ютуб-клиентом браузера UC Browser.
