Ratings and Reviews
No, people are not manufacturing problems for reviews.
There is a very distinct problem with this app — it throws out characters that you have not actually pressed when using the keyboard function, then things get worse when you try to backspace to clean it up.
The latest update did not correct this issue (I was super hopeful that it would when I saw the update available. It is a SIGNIFICANT hindrance to using the app the way it was obviously intended: (To allow you to avoid «typing» via flying all over the screen and selecting letters with your remote/gamepad.)
Apple perfected this function on the Apple TV app years back. Come on, Google!
Voice option doesn’t work now won’t connect
So the voice option never worked a crashes and starts over every time it’s never worked for me on my Nvidia shield now for some reason it will not connect I deleted it reinstalled restarted the phone vice versa every possible different way nothing so now I have to wait for a new update to see if it fixes it otherwise it’s useless at this point because it won’t connect and obviously the voice function doesn’t work either
It would be nice if it connected again and the boys option worked otherwise the keyboard worked fine but this app will probably not be your daily driver remote because it’s a little tricky in a pinch it does the job but with Nvidia shield double pressing the home button doesn’t bring you to the screen where you can kill an app that’s running in the background so it’s not better or as good as the supplied remote
Good but voice control makes it reconnect infinitly
So idk what people are talking about with the keyboard issue bc i used it to type something and it worked just fine but i have an issue where when i use the microphone, as an example i said “open google play store”, it just picked up “play store”, thats fine. But after that the play store opened and the app said reconnecting. i waited 5 minutes still reconnecting. So i press cancel and the cancel button grays out and same thing. Please fix the mic issue. Keyboard works fine with my iPhone 7 and ChromeCast that i have hooked up through hdmi on my non-smart vizio tv

Ratings and Reviews
I would rate it 5 stars but there aren’t really a lot of collections or tutorials or something. What’s good is that you can see some cool new features in your device but what’s the problem is that you don’t have a lot of freedom and that it’s just limited collections.
You can’t watch them enough, it makes the apple pro max such an enjoyable product to own.

What’s New
Two-step authentication now comes with extra security. You’ll need to unlock your device to approve or deny notifications.
We expanded the “Link To” setting for the image block to include “Media File” and “Attachment Page” options alongside the preexisting “Custom URL” option.
We fixed an issue that made the interface crash when users copied and pasted lists from Microsoft Word.
When you head over to My Site > Comments, you’ll see a fresh look and even fresher comment details, including:
— A sneak peek of the post title or parent comment, depending on whether the author left a comment on the post or replied to an existing comment.
— Rich content so you can see each comment just as the author wrote it.
— A share button for approved comments.
— Users with Administrator or Editor roles can see the comment authors’ email and IP addresses.
— Tappable web address to visit the author’s URL (instead of their avatar image).
Finally, we updated the UI for the Reply view, both minimized and fullscreen. Looking sharp!

Recent updates are amazing
Thank you for the recent updates. I actually think it’s easier to use than the website- which is great but I hope the website also gets better and WordPress doesn’t become an app only thing. for longer posts I love to use my laptop and the web version because it easier to type a long post, but right now id rather type it on a google doc or something and copy and paste on my phone using the app. It’s very user friendly and the interface has been updated so much- it’s finally worthy of using and enjoying it. Before, the app looked so outdated and had limited capabilities- it’s finally been updated so you can virtually do anything you can online using your phone. I had some trouble uploading images but I believe this was an issue with a plugin and it was fixed. Sometimes the publish button doesn’t work properly and I have to save as a draft and go to my computer to publish, but I’m confident that has been fixed with the newest update (just downloaded so fingers crossed). Thank you sooo much for finally giving the app the attention it deserves!! Especially for the many creatives who use WordPress, it’s important to be able to create and update our pages and posts on the go when we are inspired. So many times I have ideas that get written down in my phone notes and they never get turned into posts like i planned to- now I can open it up and make sure it gets done the minute I’m inspired. Thanks again!
Amazing app! Could be better.
I love this app! Super useful. I really enjoy the new updates and features. I would definitely use this and will recommend it to friends. It is possibly the easiest and most convenient way to make a website. However, I do think that some improvements could be made. For example, I often get unwanted suggestions and remarks that are not necessary. Also, when I go onto my site, the recent changes that I have made don’t appear. I do refresh the page, but find it doesn’t show up until the next day. This was a huge problem, especially, when I posted a link that led nowhere. When I tried to update it, it didn’t show up until the next day. Please check this out, and if you can, update the site more often! Love the new changes, and overall think this app deserves a 4 star review.
Developer Response ,
Hi there! Thanks for the review! Can you share your URL with us at mobile-support@automattic.com so we can check what’s happening with your recent changes? Thank you so much!
Limited functionality
Yes, it’s a mobile app, and ten years ago that would have justified its limited functionality and beta-like business, but not any more. The phone I use today has twice the computing power of the desktop computer I had when I first used WordPress. There’s simply no reason a Mobile app doesn’t have the same options I can get access to through a desktop computer. Add to that it’s inability to communicate properly with the desktop site (like how it almost never recognizes posts started, scheduled, or even published from the desktop) and it’s annoying built in bugs (it’s actually designed to pick up already used tags only after you type at least two letters (really? If I have to remember at least the first two letters then I’m actually forced to memorize them all. so what’s the point?).
I suggest the top brass as WordPress use only this app for all their publishing needs for the next month. I’m certain we’d see some improvements. Until then I’ll just fumble through this as best I can going back and forth between app and desktop because, frankly, the website isn’t exactly mobile friendly. But then, neither is the mobile app.
Developer Response ,
> it almost never recognizes posts started, scheduled, or even published from the desktop
This should not be happening. It sounds like you might have setup the Jetpack at some point in the past and now it’s not syncing correctly in the app either because of a change to the plugin (was it removed?) or it might be another plugin conflict or server-side issue. We’d love to get more detail about your specific case to see if there’s anything we can do to help. Please consider contacting support using the form on the Profile > Help & Support page in the app to continue the discussion.

Ratings and Reviews
Interface, interface
As far as working as a 2fac this app is fine, it does that. The issue with it is that it’s a really simple app but has an annoying interface. If the buttons for the push notification could be moved to a more thumb friendly location that would be great. It’s just a screen with 2 buttons, there’s no reason to make me adjust my grip on the phone so I can reach the accept button. I should be able to pick the phone up and hit the button in one motion. Not pick the phone up fumble with the position in my hand then hit the button. It’s annoying and unnecessary. The whole screen is there to use for this purpose and is empty. The buttons are large but the phone screen is also large and it puts the buttons out of comfortable reach for one hand use. Stack them in the middle or something. Maybe a flick gesture, or both, I dunno.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for your feedback, Johnnie. I’ll share your comments with our developers. You might find it easier to approve a push from the lockscreen, as seen in this article: https://help.duo.com/s/article/3142 Please give that a try in the meantime and see if it helps
Endless Cycle of frustration
The Duo Mobile app is realistically one of the largest stressors I have experienced in my life. Upon getting a new phone I was unable to access any of my school work/grades/tax information for months. If you need to get a new device it requires that you verify the new device with your old device, but for many people when a new device is purchased they no longer have access to their old device. Their “help” support staff is among one of the worst of its kind (which is saying something). It took me approximately 6 hours to recover my accounts.
Moving on to normally logging in the process is arduous and frankly broken. I have no way to remove my old phone number as the primary verification. There is a “click to accept” box to remain logged in for 24 hours on the login page, although you must be verified to click the box, and upon verification you are immediately redirected away from the page. The system is inherently broken. Yes calling may be faster than scrolling through all your texts looking for old verification codes, but I should NOT have to receive a phone call or spend minutes searching my texts simply to do economics homework.
If you are an administrator considering using this app, please find some other service. Using duo mobile will cause your employees/students immense stress and disdain against your organization.
Got a new phone, now I can’t log onto my university account
This is the worst app I’ve ever used. Absolutely unnecessary and difficult. I’ve put up with it until now, but I can no longer sit silent. I recently got a new phone and in oder to reconnect duo to my university I need to log into my university account. But in order to log into my university account I need to verify it through duo. So obviously through this very dumb circle I can no longer log into my university account on my phone. Duo does offer verification though my old phone, but guess what? I no longer have that phone so it is absolutely impossible for me to verify my account through my old phone. I sincerely hope my university stops using this app as this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. All I want to do is be able to check my grades on my phone and I’ll never be able to do that. And soon my 120 day access will run out on my labtop and I will no longer be able to access my school account which contains my grades, classroom, assignments, and more as I cannot verify my university account through duo. Making it virtually impossible to have access to my school account all because I got a new phone. This is the WORST app and experience I’ve ever had.
Developer Response ,
Hi QueenBee, that sounds really frustrating, and I’m sorry you lost access to your university accounts. Please contact your IT help desk, or if you aren’t sure of the number, check with a professor as they can point you in the right direction. Your help desk will be able to unlock your accounts for you so you can resume your schoolwork.
