iCab Mobile is a web browser for the iOS. It provides many unique and useful features you won’t find in other iPhone browsers.

APPLE WATCH:
The Watch App is a remote control for iCab Mobile, so you can navigate, zoom, scroll, open bookmarks, links, the homepage, switch tabs or sitch on/off the fullscreen mode. It is also possible to let iCab read a web site using speech output.

FILE UPLOADS:
iCab Mobile can upload any files on web pages (Due to limitations of the iOS this does not everywhere, but it works fine on many web sites).

SEARCHING:
iCab Mobile comes with several default search engines you can choose from. You can easily add new search engines.

FILLING OUT FORMS:
iCab Mobile can save web forms and restore the form content later (manually or automatically). The saved forms data can be password protected. Supports many third-party Password Manager Apps as well.

FILTERS:
There’s a built-in fully customizable filter feature. It allows to block resources, ads, banners, user tracking scripts, cookies etc. Supports AdBlock Plus/EasyList filters as well.

TABS:
iCab Mobile supports Tabs, so you can open multiple web pages at the same time. Links can be opened in Tabs (in the foreground or background) manually or automatically.

BOOKMARKS:
Bookmarks can be organized in folders. You can import/export the bookmarks from/to your PC/Mac browser.

FULLSCREEN MODE:
iCab Mobile provides a fullscreen mode where the whole screen is used to display the web page. No screen space is wasted for toolbars.

DOWNLOADS:
iCab Mobile has a built-in Download Manager so you can download almost all files from the internet. The downloads can be easily transfered to a Mac/PC/Linux computer but also to other Apps on the device which can open these files

MULTIUSER SUPPORT
You can create multiple user accounts, each user has its own private bookmarks, filters, settings, etc.

DROPBOX
iCab Mobile supports Dropbox. Export/Import bookmarks; transfer downloads, images, files, web pages to your Dropbox account.

TWIN BROWSER:
In this mode, you can have two browsers side by side on the iPad. This is especially useful on the large iPad Pro.

VOICEOVER
The App is also accessible for visually impaired and blind users. If VoiceOver is enabled, the App plays soft ticks while a page is loading, so blind users are able to identify when the page load has finished.

Users who have purchased the App within the last 12 months do get all these features for free, no need to buy one of the InApp purchases. Though they can nevertheless give me a tip, if they want to. 😉

Great searching tool!

Only problem is if your phone is stolen and the thief hacks your business account and emails, makes there email the admin on my business email and vegans downloading and turns my entire phone into control searching, uses my name, my business to profit off digital advertising ads, uses perks from being an app developer, an employee, student, etc for any of my email providers, icloud, google, Microsoft have not helped me when I called begged, emailed, complained etc etc etc , maybe if instead of not taking me seriously when I tried to get refunds for apps, games, unauthorized charges on my card from my emails but I’m unable to use them, because now that my emails are controlled by a business admin, MY BUSINESS, the emails I can get into have been changed to child’s email or disabled, so apparently there’s someone out there who is my das

Great browser

I was concerned about googles collection practices. Data harvesting and more. I noticed this in the App Store as a alternative bowser/search engine. I’m glad I decided to try it out. The search results are accurate. They are extensive. The swipe to access different options is convenient. I highly recommend downloading the app. You can easily use Bing and other less intrusive browsers. Try it out I think you’ll enjoy it. 😉

Who rates these apps?

Apps that have low star reviews often are flawed. But there are many atrocious or mediocre or heck great apps that have excellent reviews. There is no rhyme or reason to what is reviewed well in the App Store lol.

This browser didn’t look terrible after installing a theme / wallpaper. Of course there are ads even with their ad blocker, presumably if you don’t upgrade. The second news option presented to me, after a Variety article about Tom Hanks, was a white supremacist, ultra right wing conspiracy theory so propagandistic and untrue it was more outrageous than tabloid fodder. I looked at the site to see that it frequently promotes literally dangerous healthcare remedies and supernatural conspiracy theories. On top of that, they are misleading about funding and yet say that their editors only allow true and fact-checked articles to be published.

If this is the kind of thing that the App Store considers appropriate (and it of course always is), it is certainly not a browser that I would trust.

I understand your frustration but let me explain that your were wrong giving 1 star to the app.

Smart Search is the app which helps to find any kind of information. It contains preinstalled links to the popular services + dynamic news feed based on various news sources.

We personally don’t control and cannot control content on this news feed, but you can set up it using like/dislike button. You could set your news feed up. Even more, you can switch it off in the settings of the app. This would be a better way instead of 1 star.

We have been developing the app more than 6 years and keep it modern and useful for millions customers which appreciate our job.

Please don’t let fake news to make you wrong conclusions about the app. We are not involved in the Tom Hanks news at all.
