We are very excited to announce the Beta of Paranoid Android Ruby, based on Android 11.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.
Device-specific issues
1. You tell!
Note: Android 11 FW required. Install it from here.
My preferred logging format is:
adb logcat -b all -d *:E > logcat-err.log
adb logcat -b all -d > logcat.log
adb shell dmesg > dmesg.log
Then you can upload them to https://del.dog and send me the link for each one.
Instructions
- Note — you need to be on Android 11 firmware.
- Download the latest zip we released.
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash the recovery zip on recovery
- Format data.
- Reboot to system.

OK Google / Hey Google detection cannot be used for me. When you turn it on it just turns back off again. I’ve tried to clear cache / data on Google app with no luck.
Just letting you know, not sure if others have seen the same.
It’s not much use these days as with this phone it doesn’t work with screen off anyway.

Yes, it has both and they work great! Awesome features.
The only slight downsides I have found with this ROM is the safetynet not working and Google assistant voice activation which the dev is working on (thanks!),

Hi,
I’m planning on installing this rom and also remove gapps and install microg.
Is this something that this rom supports?
EDIT: It would be also really helpfull if someone could tell me which part I should remove from the rom zip file
in order to avoid the gapp installation in the first place.
Thank you in advance!

Surely that would be the best way, but Paranoid always was my favorite rom and most stable,
since I’m planning on install it as daily driver, I will prefer to take the paranoid way and try to degooglefy it.
If someone has any tips or if I actually succeed, I’ll post back my findings.

That would be great and deeply appreciated, but let me throw an idea here.
Wouldn’t be easier if you could send me a script I could flash every time I install the rom to degooglefy instead of spend extra time to compile a vanilla build?
I imagine a one time script will solve this problem, I would just need to flash it after every update.
That was just an idea, because I’m not a developer I do not really know what would be easier.

Thank you so much! At the moment I feel the update smoother . Only bug detected is Settings apk does not show the name correctly (It shows as «%1s») maybe a lost translation? (Spanish).
Btw, any way to install Anxcamera for this ROM? For now its my daily ROM .
Good work sir, congrats!

Updated to a CAF compatible kernel
Safetynet passes with Magisk hide
Thanks for the update and your work on this.
May I ask what you mean by updating to a caf compatible kernel Vs the original ROM you made?
Do you think in the future you can pass safetynet without magisk?
What’s the best advice for updating from original ROM posted?
I wonder why they don’t release an official ROM for our phone, I thought it was popular!
