Introducing eFootball™

It all began with the implacable determination to create a revolutionary football platform.
Our ambition was to recreate the perfect football experience, from the grass on the pitch, to the players’ movement, all the way to the crowds in the stadium. To this end, we decided to create a new football engine, with a revamped animation system and improved game commands.
We went back to the drawing board for the entire gameplay experience, adding new levels of excitement everywhere, including how player signings and development work.

Update Overview

You will be able to begin your eFootball™ 2022 experience by carrying over a portion of your in-game assets from eFootball PES 2021.
However, note that some assets cannot be carried over, since the game will undergo significant changes.

Player Types There will be four player types altogether: Standard, Trending, Featured and Legendary.
The way you sign players will vary by type. For example, GP can only be used to sign Standard players, but eFootball™ 2022 will allow you to choose specific players to sign to your team. Naturally, the amount of GP needed will vary by player. Player Development Trending players have their stats based on a high level performance they had during a given time period. This means they are ready to be used at their peak performance from the moment you sign them. The caveat, however, is that they can’t be trained further, which means you won’t be able to customise them.
Standard, Featured and Legendary players can be customised according to your personal tastes and needs. These players start out with modest stats compared to Trending players, but they have room to grow through stats boosts and added skills. If you take the time to train these players well, they may end up contributing more to your wins than even your strongest Trending player!

Earn GP, Special Trainers and other rewards by collecting Event Points in this event. And don’t forget, the more points you collect — the better the rewards!
Additionally, this event has Rapid Reward Zones, meaning that the intervals between 10,000 and 13,000 points, and 20,000 and 23,000 points will grant you rewards more regularly than usual.
You might also get the opportunity to play in an Invitational Match during the event. Don’t fret if you lose the first time around, because the difficulty will be automatically lowered so that you have a better chance to beat it the next time it appears for you.
All in all, this event is an excellent opportunity to earn some amazing rewards — so don’t miss out!

In this event, you’ll join a side and compete in Group Matches to earn Event Points which are your ticket to awesome rewards like myClub Coins.
Additionally, if your side earns more points than the other in the Group Match Stage, it will gain an advantage in the «Grand Final», where a representative from each side competes to decide the overall winner of the event.
Picking players from teams affiliated with your side will earn you additional points in Group Matches, making squad composition an important factor to consider in each event.

eFootball PES 2021 will be unavailable due to regular maintenance each week on the day and time listed below:

Thursdays between 02:00 — 08:00 (UTC)

・Please note that the game will be unavailable during these times. Furthermore, the maintenance period may be changed if required.

・You will be unable to play either VS User or VS COM matches from 15 minutes before maintenance begins. Event matches will also be unavailable.

・If you are playing a VS User match when maintenance begins, that match will be null and void. VS COM and VS COM (Sim) matches can be resumed after maintenance ends, but only for a period of 24 hours after being matched with a COM opponent. Please note that any time that elapses during maintenance counts towards this 24 hour time limit.

・Due to periods of heavy network traffic that are common after maintenance, we may temporarily limit access to the server to ensure a smoother gameplay experience for all users. In such cases, you may encounter the following message when attempting to log in: «Access to the server is currently limited due to heavy traffic. Try again?»
Selecting «Retry» will make another attempt at connecting to the server.

・In case the maintenance ends before 08:00 (UTC), there is a chance that there will be no Auctions available in the Auction List for some time.

• ・ All Iconic Moment Series Players that you own can still be used after major version updates.
• ・ The stats and rarity levels of Iconic Moment Series players are fixed, and are not subject to changes in updates or during maintenance.
• ・ The Condition Rating of Iconic Moment Series players is fixed to «B», and is not subject to change during Live Updates.
• ・ Converting a duplicate Iconic Moment Series player into a Trainer and using him to train an identical variation of the same player yields a tremendous effect. Additionally, Trainers converted from Iconic Moment Series players still produce an enhanced effect when used on different variations of the same player.
• ・ You can only trade players from the Iconic Moment Series if you have 3 copies of the same variation.
• ・ Photographs displayed on Iconic Moment Series player cards are subject to change.
• ・ Iconic Moment Series players that you have signed may be rendered unusable due to league and licensing issues. If any such issues should occur during a major version update, affected Iconic Moment Series players that you own will be replaced with other players.
• ・ The stat boost applied to Iconic Moment Series players by matching your Model Team to their team is only reflected in Squad Management (including the Player Details screen). All other areas of the game will display the pre-boost stat values.

*The Trade feature allows you to exchange 3 copies of the same variation of a Featured Player. Differing variations of the same Featured Player cannot be traded.
