Описание

Schengen Calculator application allows you to check the number of days remaining for your stay in Schengen zone according to 90/180 days rule.

The visa 90/180 days rule means that the Schengen zone visitor or the Schengen visa holder can travel freely within the Schengen zone for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in any half year period.

Schengen Calculator keeps the history of your past trips and checks how many days you can stay in current 180 days period.

*** IMPORTANT:
This rule sounds simple but in reality it is not obvious to calculate how many days you can stay because the 180-day window moves in time with your stay. I’m receiving many complains like «App is not counting correctly» or «There is bug in algo because changing entry date by 1 day changes allowed days could by more than one». However app is counting correctly and you can check it up with official EU calculator at:

I have put a date in by mistake I want to delete it can you tell me how you delete it

Disappointed as doesn’t calculate correctly

If I enter the Schengen zone today, on 16 July 2020, I am allowed to spend 90 days in the zone in a 180 day period which is up to the 12th January 2021. However the app stops counting after 90 days has passed on 14 October 2020. For instance I entered dates in 2 trips that calculate as a total of 25 days up to 10th October, leaving 65 days. That allocation of 65 days can be spent up to 12th January 2021 but the app stops counting for any date after 13th October 2020. No matter what dates I enter between 14th October 2020 and 12th January 2021 the count stays the same at 65 days remaining. If that could be corrected it would be an easy to use although changing the control date option could be made more obvious.

Hi! Sorry to hear that you got unexpected results from app. The purpose of the app is to show how many days you can stay in Schengen zone (which is maximum of 90 in any 180 days period).

If you enter Schengen on 16 July 2020 that you can stay there 90 days which end on 14 October 2020 (in a case no previous trips were made). If you added 25 days to your trips, then your allowed stay will shorten by 25 days and final date will be 10th October then. So even if you enter any entry date between 14th October and January 21, in your 180 days period you will still have only 65 days left to stay (because of previous 25 days trips).

The app was tested many times and counts exactly as official EU calculator does, what you can see by yourself at: https://ec.europa.eu/assets/home/visa-calculator/calculator.htm?lang=en

It looks simple, but the way the days are counted makes it hard to calculate it in the mind sometimes and that was the reason for this app to appear.

Thanks for the tip for making more obvious control data input — I’ll update it the next version.

Doesn’t work!

Despite the opening remark advising people about the rolling number, I can say, IT DOESN’T WORK! I know how the Schengen rules work, have used other Schengen calculators in the past and have used other calculators for the same dates I have just tried out here. I thought I would give this app a go so that my info remained. After adding the initial trip, which said I had three days left, it didn’t matter what I added after that, the three days remained. I ended up way overstaying my legal days, despite the app continuing to say I had 3 days. It seems the admin don’t believe or trust us users.

Ответ разработчика ,

Hi! Sorry for result you got. Could you please share the trips dates combination which you believe incorrectly counts? For the reference I’m using official calculator at https://ec.europa.eu/assets/home/visa-calculator/calculator.htm?lang=en

Description

As a new Regulation amends definition of authorized stay in Schengen Area (from 18 October 2013), the maximum duration of authorised stay is defined as 90 days in any 180-day period.

Find it difficult to calculate ’90 days’ or a ‘180-day period’? Have no idea why the period is ‘moving’? This app will help you!

The app will save the history of your visits locally on your iPhone, iPod or iPad. It will count the days you already used and will suggest duration for your next trip.

If you travel a lot — the app will save tons of your time! You don’t have to count anything yourself, the app is always there for you!

You can enter information about your visa to make your calculations more accurate.

If you know when you want to leave the Schengen Area, the app will suggest an entry date to maximize duration of your visit.

*** Important! Only Border Control can decide if your stay is authorized or not. The app is for your consideration only. It uses ’90 days/180-day rule’ which is correct for the vast majority of third-country nationals. But the app has no information about additional agreements that the Member States of Schengen acquis can have with other countries.
