Using Borrow-it couldn’t be easier: just upload a photo of the thing you want to lend out and a suggested daily charge. Speed controls

The app is not bad but the interface is interface is is very cluttered and there is no way to speed up the video. Of the two, I’d forgive the interface issues if I could speed through the video at 1.5 or 2x’s, slowing down for the sections that are new and unfamiliar.

Right now I’m watching the videos in WebPlayer off the developer site and marking them as viewed in the WWDC app, in the hope that someday the dawn will break, the birds will sing, and most significantly of all, the app will allow me to speed up video.

The sign up process is a nightmare

Just to be clear, this review only covers a small portion of the app, (the only portion I have gotten to so far.) I tried initially signing up for the developer program through the app, but the app wouldn’t accept my photo id and it didn’t give me a reason why. I gave up on the app after 10 attempts and in summary, since then, I have talked to a few support agents which who told me that I probably had to just try it again and I have been hitting errors such as “You cannot currently ___, please try again later”. I’m sure if things go right this app is a great experience, but when things go wrong there is no direction on how to fix it. I eventually figured out that my payment method was expired and that was the issue, but that was after spending hours combing forums to try to solve the problem myself.

Disappointing and has unacceptable bugs

Would give 0 stars if possible. There is no way on iPad to control playback speed. There are so many videos to watch developers need to be able to easily increase playback speed if desired. Tried downloading video hoping this would allow access to speed control. Still no controls for speed and worse yet there is a bug where you are not able to delete the downloaded video so it will take up large amount of space on device forever. These are basic things and it is unbelievable Apple developers created this app and that these basic things don’t work. Very disappointed. Please at least provide a way to delete a downloaded video. Running iOS 12.3.1 on iPad Pro. Desktop version seems to have speed control but didn’t really want to watch the videos on Mac. Prefer to watch on iPad.

Excellent printer/ app combo

I found this printer (HP envy 4520) beside the freakin road in a pile of other unwanted things so I took it home and cleaned it off good and found the power cord and usb cord in plugged it in and what do you know it works perfectly. I have been needing a printer that will actually work and one that my pc will read for quite some time now..I literally have about 5 or 6 other printers that I have acquired over the years that for some reason just couldn’t get installed or something was wrong n keeping me from having a working printer…This one went so smoothly it was almost too good to be true…my pc read it immediately and then it redirected me to where I could download the app on my phone and iPad which I did and also created an account. everything was working so far just had to add paper and see if it would actually print…when things appear to good to be true they usually are..but not this time! Once I added the paper , I held my breathe and what do you know it actually printed! Even with color! Was like a cave man seeing fire for 1st time lol ..it printer a page that the printer instructed me to align with the copier so I did so and it did so successful, so now I have a working printer to use for business or personal needs thank you for making things so easy, advanced and professional

21st Century App

I used to work in Information Technology back in the 20th century. I used to build exchange and NT servers for IBM when the internet for most was obtained by a screeching modem call.
Oh how times have changed!! I love this app I might just do a scene from “Office Space” on my old laptop because I might not need it anymore! I can batch scan a document from my iPhone. The document to be scanned I put in the document feed tray on my printer. The document feed tray scanned it and then I edited the scan all on my phone. I then had multiple file types to choose. I saved it as a pdf which took hardly any space and I saved to a location of my choice. You pay a bit more for HP printers but “Brother;-)” it works so much better than my last multi-function printer(MFC) which was a lot less than this model.
This scan to phone is new because I was using the scan to email which was a bit hit or miss. This scan to app is 100 times better way to go HP, I am liking the 21 century app! Bravo Zulu to you!

HP Smart for Mac

The HP smart is a good way to access mobile uses, printer setup settings, and various other useful tools. The software seems to work well. However, the development team seems to have left out a very important function for Apple Mac users that used to be in the old “HP Utility” application before “HP Smart” came around. The printers have a “scan to computer” function where you stand at the printer and load files and press the printers touch screen button to scan the loaded pages directly to a computer. This function can only be turned on to recognize a Mac computer to scan to by turning on the tool under the “HP Utility” scan settings on the computer itself and not through the printers webpage settings. Now that HP Utility is no more and we only have HP Smart this scan to computer setting is missing. There is no longer a way to scan straight from the printer to a Mac. Instead now you have to load the items to scan at the printer and then walk back to the Mac to press the scan button on the HP Smart app and then go back and forth to the printer again to retrieve the hard copy pages. Additionally, I assume an update to the software would be in the works to better support the apple silicon devices. The current version has to run in Rosetta.
