Сюжет и геймплей

Мобильная игра максимально схожа с первоначальной версией на Sega. Соник и его верный друг Наклз вновь отправятся на встречу опасностям. Мирное существование нарушил очередной злодей, мечтающий воплотить свои коварные планы и уничтожить все живое. Героям предстоит сделать все, чтобы его остановить. Сюжетное прохождение разбито на десятки уровней с боковой прокруткой в стиле классического платформера. На протяжении всей дороги Соник с товарищем будут преодолевать препятствия и сражаться с приспешниками главного злодея.

Каждая миссия изобилует преградами в виде пропастей, двигающихся механизмов, высоких платформ и многого другого. В аркаде отлично реализовано постепенное увеличение скорости и уровня сложности. Если вы ожидаете увидеть игру исключительно для детей, то это большое заблуждение. В конце каждого этапа ёжа ждет встреча с боссами, а в финале с антагонистом серии.

По мере прохождения геймер будет добывать очки и получать достижения. У персонажей есть по несколько жизней, как в классической аркаде. Если теряется последняя, то зона прохождения начинается заново. На каждом уровне есть возможность разблокировать бонусный этап. Это может быть соревнование по получению очков, скоростные забеги и даже исследование космоса. Готовы открыть все бонусы и исследовать игру по полной программе?
