Windows 10 is an upcoming young-identity platform that comes with many new features and enhancements. One of the greatest and most exciting is the brand new technology known as Project Reality, or more commonly known asSR. SR is basically an enhanced version of the old map from Super Mario 3, which was known as the ‘overworld’. This time around, the overworld is taken to a new level as you battle your way through all sorts of themed environments and obstacles in order to collect the coveted artifacts required to further improve your chances of winning the game. When you die, however, you are taken back to the overworld to fight against the evil characters there, and perhaps do some serious fighting, too. There is an emphasis on action and excitement that makes it a lot of fun to play.

However, while this is a great feature of the game, it does have some limitations that could be a problem for some people. For one thing, the music and the sounds are a lot less great in Windows 10 Classic mode compared to Super Mario 3. In addition, the interface for the game is a bit less user friendly overall, especially with the new game modes and additions that have been made to the classic mode. Thankfully, the game modes work great with the Xbox Kinect for both versions of the game. The controllers are a little more intuitive to use, but not enough to completely compensate for the lacking mouse control.

The best thing about Super Smash Bros. Crusade is that it plays just as well as the original as seen on the Nintendo Wii, with all of the same characters and stages. The addition of extra characters (exception to the aforementioned Master Hand) help make the game feel more like a traditional fighter and gives you a chance to go up against old favourites as well as brand new faces like Meta Knight and Bowser. However, there isn’t much of a difference between the game modes, so if you are used to playing with the classic controller, you’ll probably find this to be a decent upgrade.

Cloud (CSW) Remake [CMC V6+] — A Mod for Super Smash Bros. Crusade

Nibelheim’s SOLDIER First Class storms into battle!

The previous version of this mod made by me was fine and all, but considering it was my first mod ever, it was pretty rough around the edges, especially considering the old crusty orange png swordtrail effects, and whatever the hell I conjured up for his special moves (namely, side special, down special and air up special).

All this being considered, I began remaking the entire sword trail system for almost all his moves from the ground up, shortly being followed by giving him custom hitsound effects taken straight out of Final Fantasy, and with the massive help of a certain somebody who offered themselves to help, we finally got to remake all the clumsily made special attacks from the ground up to make something much, much better.

Allow me to explain!

• For his neutral special, Cloud alternates between Firaga (fireball with considerable speed, damage and knockback), Blizzaga (slower ice spell that stuns enemies in place for a short while upon hit) and an all new Thundaga (lightning spell that shoots directly in front of Cloud, with the damage, knockback and stunning effect of the previous two spells but without the ability of traveling long distances those two have). Knowing when to use each is key for figuring out potentially amazing gameplans in conjunction with the rest of his moves.
• Side Special is Focused Thrust, from Final Fantasy 7 Remake; Cloud launches himself stabbing straight forwards for a multiple-hit attack. By itself, it doesn’t truly do all that much in terms of knockback, but by pressing the Special Button again after connecting a hit with the attack, you can cancel it into Climhazzard (an upwards cutting attack), which can then be followed into any aerial of your choosing (the only true followup from it is Down Air, but any other aerials can also work given you find a way to connect into them properly).
• Up Special is now the same both in the ground and in the air; its functionality is the exact same as before, a rising cutting attack very similar to that of Ike’s Aether, which then begins falling with the sword pointing straight downwards only to stab the floor and cause a Burning Spell to be cast around the spot where Cloud lands, causing multihit fire damage. This one isn’t truly one specific attack, but a mix between Climhazzard, the Dive Attack from KH, and an original idea on the fire spell. You can just call this Fiery Climhazzard.
• Down Special is Cross Slash, which is a three-sectioned move that adds up to 10 hits total by mashing the special key.
• Down Special in midair allows him to perform Meteorain, which shoots three meteors downwards and forwards. It leaves you in a helpless state, but can be used to gain some ground between yourself and the opponent.
• Forward Aerial is Braver, which much to the name’s credit, requires you to be brave enough to risk yourself to land a long windup spike move that also sends you plummeting downwards unless you manage to hit it, which in turn bounces you back up into possible safety if done offstage while you watch your opponent be rocketed downwards from the sheer force (. or you may end up falling straight to your own death instead if you don’t land the move).
• Charging a Side Smash fully allows you to shoot a Blade Beam! Try landing both the slashing move and the beam at the same time for a lot of damage.
• Finally. The final smash is no longer just a big pink blade beam. You’re better off downloading him and testing him out for yourself.

Some other things of note:

• All of his moves now have different, all-new sound effects upon hit. This is a little treat!
• One of his palettes has been replaced by a new reference which I think you may enjoy.
• Did I mention the fact the new swordtrails are absolutely splendid? (Also they may change depending on which palette you choose!)

Well, guess that’s it. Now since Super Smash Bros. Crusade 9.4 has been released (and also the new hud is good enough for my taste), this mod is no longer going to be worked on as it is now been discontinued and fully abandoned . It was fun making this mod though, not gonna lie. But, time flies and things that you like have to come to an end. So yeah. Thanks for enjoying this mod, thanks for 14.4k views , and thank you for 2.7k downloads . I never knew this mod will get popular this quickly! So yeah, See you next time (whenever if I get any more ideas on what to do here), and thank you again!
