В какой стране самая дешёвая подписка, а в какой самая дорогая?

Самая дешёвая подписка в Аргентине, самая дорогая в Дании.

Цены на подписки в Аргентине и Турции практически одинаковы. Какую из этих стран для регистрации лучше выбрать? Где больше фонотека?

Tidal ушёл из Турции.
По наполнению контентом эти страны почти одинаковы, разницы существенной практически нету. Субъективно, при сравнении фонотеки этих стран не было найдено несколько треков и альбомов в аккаунте с аргентинской подпиской. В то время как в аккаунте с турецкой подпиской, всё искомое относительно аргентинской подписки было найдено. Самым большим плюсом турецкого аккаунта перед аргентинским является то, что там полностью отсутствует местный контент и вся предлагаемая музыка как на аккаунте в США (чарты Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Top 100 UK и других европейских стран).

Как отключить автопродление подписки?

В настройках подписки нажимаете кнопку «Cancel my subscription», и подтверждаете действие нажатием кнопки «YES, STOP MY SUBSCRIPTION».
P.S. Этим действием Вы не деактивируете подписку! Подписка у Вас остаётся, просто по истечению указанного срока она отключится, и Вам нужно будет заново вручную активировать подписку.

Принимает ли TIDAL российские / белорусские / украинские карты? Не заблокируют ли мой аккаунт, если я привяжу к нему карту другой страны?

Сервис принимает карты других стран, вне зависимости какой страны у Вас аккаунт. Рекомендовано привязывать одну карту к одному аккаунту, в противном случае Вашу карту TIDAL может перестать принимать, если Вы будете привязывать её много раз к разным аккаунтам.

Зарегистрировал аргентинский аккаунт, захожу в личный кабинет, а там отображается сумма оплаты со значком $ перед цифрой 138. Это в месяц 138 долларов будет снимать что ли?

Нет. Так в Аргентине отображается их аргентинское песо.

В какой стране самая большая фонотека?

Точно сказать невозможно. По субъективной оценке и сравнениям — это Великобритания, Франция, Дания.

Нужно ли периодически подключаться к VPN’у страны используемого аккаунта, чтобы он не был заблокирован?

Нет. Сервис за это не блокирует. VPN используется одноразово только при регистрации, далее он не нужен.

Есть ли в сервисе рекомендации с подборкой музыки на основании той, которую я слушаю? Где эти рекомендации найти?

Да, есть. Эти рекомендации представляют собой плейлисты, которые называются My Mix. Всего может быть 6 таких плейлистов, каждый который состоит из 40 треков, вперемешку с музыкой которую Вы уже добавили к себе в коллекцию. Эти подборки начнут появляться у Вас на главной странице после того, как Вы прослушаете и добавите к себе в коллекцию достаточно музыки. Чем больше Вы будете слушать и добавлять музыки, тем больше плейлистов для Вас будут создавать.

Почему в сервисе отсутствуют песни / альбомы некоторых групп / исполнителей?

Обычно это происходит потому что сервис не договорился с правообладателями данных песен или альбомов на публикацию. В некоторых случаях бывает когда на одной стриминговой площадке присутствует вся музыка исполнителя или группы, а на другой там только пару песен. Это объясняется тем, что правообладатели могут разместить музыку на тех площадках, где они захотят, а некоторые артисты публикуют свой материал эксклюзивно только в одной каком-то конкретном стриминговом сервисе. Ещё отсутствие каталога музыки некоторых олдскульных артистов может объясняться тем, что исполнитель или группа слишком консервативно относится к стримингу.

Можно ли загружать свою музыку и слушать её непосредственно в приложении TIDAL?

Нет.

Не нахожу здесь такой-то русскоязычный трек / альбом, хотя во многих других музыкальных сервисах он есть. Почему так?

Попробуйте написать название трека, альбома или артиста — транслитом. Например, у лейбла «Warner Music Russia», исполнители у которых где-либо присутствует кириллица, именуются в TIDAL транслитом. Поэтому можно найти даже две страницы одного исполнителя: одна написанная кириллицей, а другая транслитом.

В чём отличие приложения из Google Play и мода на «практике»?

Мод очищен от различных файлов, которые не используется приложением. Удалены неиспользуемые локализации, уменьшен размер самого приложения и оптимизировано потребление оперативной памяти, а самое главное — это удалена отправка статистики и аналитики, количество запросов которых достигает десятки в секунду, что как никак, но делает нагрузку на систему и трафик.

Можно ли в модифицированном приложении слушать / скачивать музыку без оплаченной подписки?

Нет. Мод не имеет такой возможности.

I first want to sort out if it’s the dragontail cable or the DAC. It’s cheaper I think to swap the cable but would like to pick a cable that is known to be successful. I am operating under the impression it still needs to be an OTG cable and not just a regular USB-C to female USB-A.

Also what’s interesting is my current combination DOES work with Android Audio Player Pro and with Oknyo HF player. I get the similar pop up message to allow control of the dragonfly. So, not sure if the Tidal app NOT working with my combo is a bug or a feature at this stage.

Its a bugger alright. I do note that UAPP release notes are a constant list of «fixed for X model» or «Y model» so its never going to be straightforward for all phones.

And yes, fingers crossed its a cable thing as you can get one tomorrow from Amazon for £5. But I doubt it

It can be tough finding compatible cables, but there are cables that consider the requirements of the phone to output via a USB «output» circuit — thus the cables are usually «directional».

The «Outgoing Arrow» connects to the Phone, and the «Incoming Arrow» connects to the DAC.

The first time I hooked up the FiiO cable I plugged it in backwards — arrow ends reversed — and it didn’t work, it was a moment of «oh yeah, those Arrows mean something!».

I’ve used both FiiO and ddHiFi cables — I don’t see the FiiO cables on Amazon.

The Tidal version on my Samsung S20 Ultra is 2.43.0.1039.2979, Android 11

Well, sometimes you need to venture out and buy a bunch of cables and learn how to make it work on your own through trial and error. You can’t always depend on others to do your exploring and pioneering for you, you may be at the cutting edge and need a «stable» of cables to swap around to get your new acquisition working.

I only have non-MQA portable DAC’s. A few BTR5’s, a couple of BTR3k’s, a Hidizs S9, and all of them work with my Samsung S20 Ultra — with all 3 of the cables I have on hand, they all work with Tidal, UAPP, BubbleUPnP, but don’t have all the Apps installed at once. app conflicts showed up during my testing.

I haven’t used my BTR5/BTR3k for a while mobile with my phone, I’ve been using TWS’s via BT.

So when I tried to use my BTR5 with my S20 Ultra, it didn’t immediately work. I had to go in and enable Notifications for Tidal, uninstall UAPP because it kept popping up over Tidal when I plugged in my BTR5, then after I uninstalled UAPP and plugged in my BTR5 (while Tidal was running) BubbleUPnP popped up and took over!

After I uninstalled UAPP and BubbleUPnP+License, Toggled off Developer Tools Setting «Disable USB Audio Routing», and plugged in my BTR5, Tidal was playing through my BTR5 out the 3.5mm port wired to my Beats Wireless Studio 3 — I’m using the Flight Mode Noise Canceling to kill Fan Noise — finally I heard sweet music, playing MQA tracks and non-MQA tracks from Tidal.

So, there can be software / OS configuration problems that can keep the DAC from working, besides the cable connecting them.

The only cable I have from that list I posted is the FiiO LT-TC1, which I bought from Hifigo.com

The other cables I have are a Hidizs S9 cable not available separately and a DD Hifi labeled TC05 cable I bought on Amazon — but it is no longer listed.

The list of cables I looked for for you are the newest cables of the same design/configuration designed for either Android or PC/Laptop to DAC connections. I also included a couple of Apple iPhone/iPad cables with Lightening to USB-C connectors.

You could look for forums that support your specific devices and hope to find details about the cables they used successfully, or buy some cables that may or may not work — you won’t know for sure until you try them. Then you can post what you find that works on forums so people can find your test results, and benefit from your time and effort.

Even though I verified on my S20 Ultra + BTR5 that the FiiO LT-TC1 cable works for Tidal MQA/non-MQA playback — the BTR5 doesn’t decode MQA, I’m pretty sure it will work fine — the BTR5 showed 192k on it’s display while playing Tidal, but YMMV.

When my Hidizs S3 Pro comes in I’ll test MQA with that and update here. I look forward to seeing your test results too

My Question or Issue

Spotify playback pause mid track.

I have seen a number of reports on this and followed a number of solution suggestions including:

— Check for Spotify optimize battery usage is OFF.

— Check Spotify is not on the list of sleeping apps (Even Turn off «Put unused apps to sleep»

— Ensure phone is not in Power mode = Optimized

— Turn off adaptive battery

— In Spotify account on webpage — Log out of everywhere (every device)

— Uninstall unknown apps that may cause interference

— Clean cache, logout of app, restart phone

(Actually, it shouldnt be need to turn off many of these useful S9 Optimization features, just because the MIGHT affect spotify.)

Nevertheless I have tried all of these and although some solutions work for a bit and I think its resolved. it comes back.

This occurs for me mostly when I listen at work connected to the WIFI but listening to downloaded tracks that would be available online. Screen is off.

What I have noticed is. When it stops and I quickly check the phone to restart the music. I have NO mobile signal..

Could this be a cotributing factor, even though I am connected to WIFI and listening to downloaded tracks?

Hey @RFin39 thanks for reaching out to the community with your query.

Yes, the minimum data coverage or the lack of signal can and usually is the reason that Spotify will stop and pause. In addition if you really want to fix this you can go into your settings and change the music quality too low which could help with the playback error. You could also try if you have premium downloading some songs beforehand like your daily mix or your most favorite playlist, that could be helpful if you’re in a low of service area. And that doesn’t work please let me know, because it could be a device and or an account issue.

Thank you for the suggestions.
They are of course very valid if I am streaming music.

I am a premium user and listening to downloaeded tracks.
At the same time the device is connected to the WIFI network (which incidentally blocks spotify) and I am in a low phone signal area.

I just noticed that when a pause error occured, coincidentally the phone network had dropped off.
I am now testing by disabling the WIFI network which blocks spotify.

That leaves me connected to 4G in an area where signal drops off.

I am just wondering if something in the way spotify tries to connect to the outside world, under certain conditions also causes a pause.

It would be curious though why connection issues would ever affect listening to donwloaded content but I believe I have ruled out all the other sensible phone/battery specific conditions. Its difficult to know what other app/phone/account issues could cause it.
(Hmm. I did also recently discsonnect spotify from facebook.)
