Problem please help to solve
So I recently bought the gimbal but I am having trouble with this app I am not able to connect either go pro 5 or Sony a5100.. Bluetooth connected but the app couldn’t able to detect the camera..first time it does then I tried to connect Sony a5100 after that it’s not connecting,after the fumble is connect it stats to buffer and it never ends. and now I am not even change the camera or settings whole app is unresponsive. what should I do .. I am using this app on iPhone 7plus
Much Better Than Expected
I just got the Feiyu Tech WG2 a couple of days ago, and thought it was so cool to be able to control the gimbal with a phone. So I downloaded the app. After reading the instructions that came with the gimbal itself (which seemed like they were written in another language and then translated with google translate to English) I was a little skeptical about how this app would perform, especially after another review I read that told of various bugs and such.
I don’t know if there was a significant update since that particular review was written, but on my iPhone 6s running iOS 11.2.5 or whatever the latest iOS is in January 2018, this app performs very well. It allows me to quickly connect with my gimbal and adjust settings and use a joystick to control the panning and tilting. My only complaint is that the buttons used to access settings and other things from the joystick screen are really small and have the potential to be finicky if I were to be wearing gloves (I bought the gimbal for mountain biking, and skiing, so this is a legitimate concern for people with my interests). But so far, after a few days of using this app (all the features), I have had no issues with bugs of any kind. It is a decent app that really compliments a solid and very useful product. Overall I am pleased.
App updates are not a problem!
I have been using the app on iPhones and iPads since December 2017 with an A1000 gimbal and have not had any problems. I am running the latest iOS 11 updates along with latest app version and they work fine.
FeiyuTech does a better job than most companies of keeping software up to date. Their gimbals are an incredible value compared to others. If you have a snag, their tech support is very responsive.

There is a very distinct problem with this app — it throws out characters that you have not actually pressed when using the keyboard function, then things get worse when you try to backspace to clean it up.
The latest update did not correct this issue (I was super hopeful that it would when I saw the update available. It is a SIGNIFICANT hindrance to using the app the way it was obviously intended: (To allow you to avoid «typing» via flying all over the screen and selecting letters with your remote/gamepad.)
Apple perfected this function on the Apple TV app years back. Come on, Google!
Voice option doesn’t work now won’t connect
So the voice option never worked a crashes and starts over every time it’s never worked for me on my Nvidia shield now for some reason it will not connect I deleted it reinstalled restarted the phone vice versa every possible different way nothing so now I have to wait for a new update to see if it fixes it otherwise it’s useless at this point because it won’t connect and obviously the voice function doesn’t work either
It would be nice if it connected again and the boys option worked otherwise the keyboard worked fine but this app will probably not be your daily driver remote because it’s a little tricky in a pinch it does the job but with Nvidia shield double pressing the home button doesn’t bring you to the screen where you can kill an app that’s running in the background so it’s not better or as good as the supplied remote
Good but voice control makes it reconnect infinitly
So idk what people are talking about with the keyboard issue bc i used it to type something and it worked just fine but i have an issue where when i use the microphone, as an example i said “open google play store”, it just picked up “play store”, thats fine. But after that the play store opened and the app said reconnecting. i waited 5 minutes still reconnecting. So i press cancel and the cancel button grays out and same thing. Please fix the mic issue. Keyboard works fine with my iPhone 7 and ChromeCast that i have hooked up through hdmi on my non-smart vizio tv

Fixed my issue with alarm notifications and appreciate the other improvements made with the April release. Thanks.
In most part I’m 100% in agreement with the previous review about the new Feb 2019 update. However, once I changed(Reorder) the home page, I do not have the issue with my home page resetting back to the default after I close the app & then reopen it on my iOS device. And who uses the term “Reorder” to to identify the procedure to rearrange, edit or manage the home screen? I originally thought it was for reordering of more devices. I do agree there is too much wasted space and would prefer the information being a little more condensed vs. having to scroll down the page. And, I also agree with the alerts/alarms. I’ve checked my settings numerous times, but if my iPhone is locked or if I do not have the App open, I do not receive /hear any notification from the App of a sensor being tripped. Notification can be resolved with IFTTT but would think the App itself would be able to provide that notification. I would the ability to remove a room from the home page, but have yet to find a way to do so. I do appreciate the improvements that Samsung made in an effort to improve the App and suspect there is a learning curve on my part, but I would like the user to have the capability/flexibility to manage their home screen the way the user wants it vs how Samsung thinks it should be.

Working better
Much better but I am having issues with some app integrations. like smart life and Meross.
Update (8/1/20): Emailed and also called and spoke with someone at SmartThings to try to solve my issue with the device integrations. SmartThings customer service were very easy to contact and where very kind and helpful. They tried to help as best as they could but it appears that not many Smart Life app devices are currently compatible. Hopefully this will change in the near future. Meross said and SmartThings confirmed that they are working to improve their integrations in the coming weeks so hopefully my issue of not being able to turn on device in SmartThings will be resolved soon. Tp Link Kasa app and Bond app integrations with those devices are working great! So, in short I believe SmartThings developers are working hard to improve the app integrations and experience which I really appreciate. They have also been very responsive and easy to contact for help. I just received a reply to this review as well which is also why I am adding a star to my review. I will add the fifth star once I am able to fully integrate my smart home in the SmartThings app! Thank you SmartThings for continuing to work to improve your app and the customer experience.

Poor Design New Update
The new update takes what was a very nice, clean and sophisticated looking design and makes it look amateurish. The cards or widgets or whatever they call them are now crammed with the room name, the device name, an icon, an on-off switch and other information. The result is a lot of truncated words and a confusing array which makes it very hard to quickly spot a device you might want to access. The cards on the favorites tab (which replaces the old home page) can be moved around. But they can no longer be organized by room so they are just a bunch of cards lined up in horizontal rows. Unless you go to devices, it’s hard to see all the devices in a single room. But in that devices tab you have to scroll through a separate page for each room to find the devices. Those rooms used to be all listed together on one page on the home screen with the devices listed under the heading. AND you could also go to a room page. On that rooms page all the rooms were listed on the one page (showing the number of devices in that room) with each room being a button that you could press to go to that room. Now it’s just scroll page by page. To me this is a big step backwards. I really wish I could undo the update I made on my iPad. But at least I did not update my iPhon once I saw the design of the updated app. So I’ll hold off on any iPhone update until they hopefully fix some of this bad design — but I’m not holding my breath.
